RTB Posted December 29, 2005 CID Share Posted December 29, 2005 Virus? You really shouldn't be using Outlook Express.

tonyswhirl Posted December 29, 2005 CID Share Posted December 29, 2005 Do yourself a favor and use gmail or yahoo or hotmail or msn - your system will run better - you can store programs and pictures (pics on yahoo unlimited space) you will never lose the mail you want to keep - you can access it from anywhere. jypagan Posted December 31, 2005 CID Share Posted December 31, 2005 Also for extra added security disable the preview panel. That way you dont open and unwanted e-mail containing a posible virus.
resopalrabotnick Posted December 31, 2005 CID Share Posted December 31, 2005 and disable the preview in the view menu i think it is don't just resize the windows to hide it.

Dark_Matter Posted December 31, 2005 CID Share Posted December 31, 2005 I also use Outlook Express with no issues. It's not outlook express it's the users of it. Outlook Express can be made just as secure as any other Mail Program.

cholla Posted December 31, 2005 CID Share Posted December 31, 2005 With dial-up my ISP also filters the e-mail for viruses.I had several notices from some I got last week. They give the e-mail address of the sender but all of them were bogus addresses.Anyway they caught them before the hit Outlook.I do use a firewall & AV of my own to screen e-mail as well.So far I have never gotten a virus in e-mail. Guest thecableguy Posted January 1, 2006 CID Share Posted January 1, 2006 i used to use incredimail...anyone have any thought on incredimail??...i liked it cuz it was fun to and easy to use...easy to set up folder and block and bounce. and it ran in the task bar so i always knew when i had mail Incredihell is great for those who just insist on colorizing and adorning their email with cute and very annoying iconatures. Don't try to import a huge Outlook or OE message base though or you will quickly discover why it's called INCREDIHELL!
