tommie gorman Posted March 11, 2006 CID Share Posted March 11, 2006 I also just e-mailed it to ABC Breaking NEWS, and 60 minutes. I also just e-mailed my local news stations and dateline also. Go get um. If you need the place of origin for phone company complaints: http://www.oreillynet.com/etel/blog/2006/03/att_gouging_us_soldiers_in_ira.html Thanks again. By the way mine is under TOM G. Cool I just got my first responce. Thank you for your E-Mail to Dateline NBC. We are very pleased with the enormous response we are getting. Although we cannot write a personal note to each of you, we do print out our messages, look at them and discuss your comments and reaction, and we do sometimes quote your E-Mail on the air in our 'feedback' segment. If your correspondence is in reference to a specific segment, that letter will be forwarded to the segment producer for review. Its working. php Posted March 12, 2006 CID Share Posted March 12, 2006 I was told by a news person that news is ugly because that is what the general public wants to see. So if you want to be heard, they need to see public support, and this is it. Thanks. Too true... how many people would want to watch news about the hundreds of people that made it to work instead of the one that crashed on the expressway, or all the successful flights each day instead of the occasional mechanical failure? hurricane_floyd Posted March 13, 2006 CID Share Posted March 13, 2006 I dumped AT&T as my carrier long ago. Funny but doesn't the recent AT&T buyout of Bellsouth violate the Anti-trust orders of The US Federal Courts to seperate sections of Bell telephone??? Dark_Matter Posted March 13, 2006 CID Share Posted March 13, 2006 If you have enough money the law does not really exist everyone knows that. Just about anyone can be bought for the right price.

tommie gorman Posted March 14, 2006 CID Share Posted March 14, 2006 For those need a few ideas on a letter, here is one I wrote Oprah: http://blog.tomevslin.com/2006/03/att_is_ripping_.html http://www.oreillynet.com/etel/blog/2006/03/att_gouging_us_soldiers_in_ira.html I think this is an outrage. These poor young men leave their family, friends, jobs, and homes, to defend us so we can live the way we do. And some monopoly like the phone company comes along and charges prices like these. Come on where is the humanity. They own the only pay phones around. A lot of people I know(well over 25,000, and growing by the day) people are going to stop using their services after May 25th 06, if they do not lower the prices over there. They could make a news announcement that they are going to lower them to do the boy's a favor, and that would be fine with us. Many of us have been in this situation ourselves. Have you done a story on this yet, or is that too political? Well we're not afraid. Bet they lose more from us than they would lose over there.$$ Thanks for taking the time to read this. Tom G. tm24ns58 Posted March 14, 2006 CID Share Posted March 14, 2006 I know that I appreciate what our troops are doing for us and me. Please everyone give them a couple minutes of your time and send a email to someone. I just may be the one that gets this story out there. This forum has alot of member so I hope we can get this story out. Have you forgotten how it felt that day? To see your homeland under fire And her people blown away Have you forgotten when those towers fell? We had neighbors still inside going thru a living hell And you say we shouldn't worry 'bout bin Laden Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten?
