Spaz Posted January 30, 2005 CID Share Posted January 30, 2005 Idk fapsux, but when you dl just about anything it always (at least for me) starts high and then settles down to the normal speed after a few seconds.
chd176 Posted January 30, 2005 CID Share Posted January 30, 2005 yes when you test with the 579 KB test it is just a burst speed which makes your speed look a lot faster than it really is...the 2992 KB file is much more accurate and shows your true speed...I've tried to tell people this in the past but they just ignore me...so just keep testing with the 579 KB and living in the dream world...now install sun java and test at broadbandreports.com and you will have an AMAZING upload speed as well... bcarne79 Posted March 4, 2005 CID Share Posted March 4, 2005 I was wondering how everyone like the DW6000. I have the DW4000 Two Way system and I have been pretty happy. dell Posted March 4, 2005 CID Share Posted March 4, 2005 You will be downgrading if you get the 6000 you won't get speeds like the 4000 don't do it.
JoeOtto Posted March 4, 2005 CID Share Posted March 4, 2005 I agree. I have never gotten over 1Mbps downloads for the most part. Almost every speed test I run on here that is up there tops out right at 1Mbps. Uploads are not great either. I swapped early and didn't know it would be a loss of speed. I can't afford to do what some are to go back. Unless you really don't want the software on your main machine, I would not switch either.
