Shug7272 Posted January 5, 2007 Author CID Share Posted January 5, 2007 Well, at least they did get the spelling right for the most common word Yea they were even nice enough to capitalize it for me. I wonder if I would have listed it with that word if they would have removed my listing. That would have started a fight considering they suggested the word. :evil6:
tommie gorman Posted January 5, 2007 CID Share Posted January 5, 2007 Lucky it was not me. I am sure I would have tried it, other than you are trying to sell something. I am sure a lot of youths would have tried that.

fikester Posted January 5, 2007 CID Share Posted January 5, 2007 I tried to join the digg but get a red x where I need to see info to type in box? as for eBay....they never cease to suprise me. Recently they supposedly made it against the rules to list an accessory for an assault weapon such as an SKS rifle. Do a random search for SKS rifle.....interesting. Live chat will says flat out.......not allowed SKS accessories!

fikester Posted January 5, 2007 CID Share Posted January 5, 2007 My point is if SKS accessories is not allowed .......and thats the rule? Look at all the listing violations. Myself I'm surprised anything linked to a gun period is allowed period. here is a letter sent about an SKS listing being removed: Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the SKS magazine listing and the other similar listings that you see currently on the site. I can fully understand the frustration in having an auction listing ended. First off, I would like to let you know that I have refunded your listing fees for this auction. I hope this eases your mind some to know this. Now, xxxxxx, as for your specific auction, the reason for the cancellation was this was an accessory to an assault weapon, which I will explain further below. Your magazine was marketed for a SKS equipped with a detachable magazine, which is an assault weapon. eBay has recently revised its Firearms Policy so that the sale of any assault weapon-related parts or accessories will no longer be permitted. This will apply to all parts and accessories related to any firearm defined as an "assault weapon" by either Federal or California law. The primary reason that eBay has changed its policy is that various state and federal laws are particularly complex when it comes to regulating, and even defining, assault weapons parts and accessories. What is legal in one jurisdiction may be illegal in another, and as the category grew, it became increasingly difficult for us to enforce a consistent policy. To keep our community from inadvertently violating a firearms law, and to simplify our enforcement into a policy that would be fair and consistent to all sellers, we took the step of banning all parts and accessories related to assault weapons. This decision was made purely to help protect our community from inadvertently violating firearms laws, and for enforcement reasons. With regard to your second question about why other listings you may see on the site that are listed in a similar fashion to yours are still listed, xxxxxx, I understand your position. Let me assure you that you are not being targeted or discriminated against, and that we value having you as a member. Please understand that with over 1 million active listings at any given time, it is not always feasible for us to be aware of all violating listings within the time frame of some auctions. I know this may not seem fair because these listings are live on the site, however, during our search for listing policy violations, or when members like yourself report these listings and bring them to our attention, we fully investigate each report. Listings that are found to be in violation of our policies are dealt with appropriately. It's important that you do not treat the action taken on your listings personally, but rather as an informational alert to make you aware of our policies. While it may not be immediate or obvious, other sellers who are engaging in listing practices which violate our policies will eventually have similar action taken. If you wish to report items that you feel are in violation of this or any other policy, please use the following link:
