joserizal Posted August 11, 2007 CID Share Posted August 11, 2007 how i wish that can happen. Anyway, i tried tweaking my canopy (updating it manually). So far I have the CNUT (Canopy Network Updater Tool) and the latest softwares (ver 8.151) BUT the problem is you have to update the canopy FROM the base station/access point. Ooh, bummer. anyway, i'll try tweaking it AGAIN if i can get it to work straight. Wish me luck. awwww... actually you can update the firmware from your end... mine was already v8.151 anyway good luck too hehehe

joserizal Posted August 12, 2007 CID Share Posted August 12, 2007 how can i update my Canopy SM from my end? I checked my canopy firmware version but it reverted to from 8.x to 8.0 and my other settings like they change connection to 10Mbps half duplex, if I change it to 100Mbps I can't connect to canopy configuration and also I don't have connection to internet... I think they change the AP's to accept only 10Mbps AP <-->SM. it means that SMART can change our canopy settings... I suggest let smart update your canopy.. but if you want.. Download CNUT and firmware at canopywireless.com if your canopy can be accessed at 169.254.1.1 set your tcp/ip to 169.254.1.2 load the firmware in CNUT Note: please read the CNUT manual first.(HOW TO) but again... let smart update your canopy.. fr0stbound Posted August 12, 2007 CID Share Posted August 12, 2007 yeah, let them do it. can't risk breaking your canopy.(its worth 15k)
babygurl5 Posted August 12, 2007 CID Share Posted August 12, 2007 lol alright i'd leave it at that. I already have CNUT and the 2 updates
coolbuster2007 Posted August 12, 2007 CID Share Posted August 12, 2007 it means that SMART can change our canopy settings... you said it! smart can access our canopys remotely. we are all connected to somewhat a central router. my research needs verification, our signals are being received and transmitted by a router branded "Denmark" (oh please correct me if i'm wrong).
