mudmanc4 Posted January 24, 2008 CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 I am a have not on the XBox, but..... If you have an encrypted wireless network, and you are the admin, then you should know the wep key. Go into your wireless router and look for it under wireless security. You'll need the admin password to access the router, unless the name is default password " admin ".
POKESMOT69420 Posted January 24, 2008 Author CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 see thats where im stuck at .. the default is not admin ..

mudmanc4 Posted January 24, 2008 CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 Do not put anything in the top box, type "admin " in the second box, if this is not it , and it's managed by someone in your house, ask them, they should know.
POKESMOT69420 Posted January 24, 2008 Author CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 they dont thats the thing
mudmanc4 Posted January 24, 2008 CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 they dont thats the thing If they are the owner of the network, ask them to reset settings by pressing and holding the tiny button on the back KEEP iN MIND , you will lose the encryption on all wireless networked systems you have, and they will need re configured. In wireless configuration in XP it should show it.

Shug7272 Posted January 24, 2008 CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 As long as it is his router he can reset it using the button on the back and it will reset it to factory. Then it will be easy to find the default code. If he is trying to get on someone else's router nobody here can/will help him.
mudmanc4 Posted January 24, 2008 CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 it doesn't show it in there its not suppose too. I don't know what I was thinking , Just used to different OS's where you can actually see some of these things
ghostmaster Posted January 24, 2008 CID Share Posted January 24, 2008 Sounds to me like your trying to connect to someone else's router. Try asking the person your trying to steal internet access from. And if its your router, somebody had to set the thing up, unless you had a professional do it. Or should I say, "professional".
