Shug7272 Posted March 20, 2005 CID Share Posted March 20, 2005 If I had to guess I would say yes, but then again that would be a guess so you would have just as good a chance at fliping a coin for the right answer. Dang man buy a wireless router and be done with it.
php Posted March 21, 2005 CID Share Posted March 21, 2005 its possible if you have low quality cable, but not likely. I have a 100ft cable connecting me with no problems
stevesa Posted March 27, 2005 CID Share Posted March 27, 2005 The spec for ethernet is 100 meters (330 feet) so as long as your cable isn't damaged, it should have no affect on your speeds.

pitbull481 Posted March 28, 2005 CID Share Posted March 28, 2005 welcome to the forum stevesa ampz, maybe consider replacing your cable...get cat-5e or cat-6... i had the cat5 cables. 1-3ft.(comp1, 1ft away from router)), 1-10ft. (PS2) 1-75ft.,(Xbox) and 1-150ft.(comp2) I replaced all with cat6 cable came out pretty cheap (way cheaper than best buy). i got them from this site: http://www.cat6cableguy.com/cat5e_cables?b=1 and like i said before wired is BETTER than wireless
timmers83 Posted March 29, 2005 CID Share Posted March 29, 2005 You don't ever want to try to run anything High-speed over a usb1.1 connection. It just never quite lives up to a hard wired connection or even a pci or pc-card wireless connection. Wired is definitely the way to go, though. gotmilk Posted May 21, 2005 CID Share Posted May 21, 2005 No, 75 feet of ethernet shouldn't really hurt your speed.
