choechst Posted October 2, 2006 CID Share Posted October 2, 2006 I have spent the past year complaining about comcasts speed only to find out I had a defective router. I hooked up a new wireless router and saw speeds just over the 6Meg advertised. Then I ran System Mechanic6 optimizer and they doubled! I wish I had found this site before I paid for system Mechanic though. I would have liked to see if the free tools could have boosted me like that. tommie gorman Posted October 3, 2006 CID Share Posted October 3, 2006 I wish I had found this site before I paid for system Mechanic though. I would have liked to see if the free tools could have boosted me like that. Simple choechst, to make sure and maybe even get a little more out of it. Just uninstall and install the tweak of your choice. You might even go a little faster. When I started here I was using Norton and Microsoft Antispy for my security. Damn quick to drop the Norton and add several Anti spies to my list and a few other items. It is unbelievable what can be learned in here. There is almost always room for improvement. I was provided a 500/50 setup from my sat provider. Or so I am told. I now run (record)5246 kbps burst speed D/L, normally i get 1030/35. And up to 3megs D/L I get about 1800 kbps.
