CA3LE Posted August 10, 2005 CID Share Posted August 10, 2005 2.0 allows your provider more control over your modem
dn0 Posted August 10, 2005 CID Share Posted August 10, 2005 2.0 allows your provider more control over your modem Which may or may not be bad......QoS One bonus, is that allows for a 64QAM, 6.4 MHz wide upstream channel. This will allow for a 30mbps data rate as opposed to the current docsis 1.x rate of 10mbps. (this is per channel/node). Maybe we could hit 3 or 4mbps upstream, that would be alright. Swimmer Posted August 10, 2005 CID Share Posted August 10, 2005 Just wondering, is there anyway to tell what version of DOCSIS my cable company uses? They are using version 1 it looks like.. the requirements are just a DOCSIS modem to connect..
