cholla Posted September 23, 2005 CID Share Posted September 23, 2005 tdawnaz: For me no Amarillo are prepared to take in about a 1000 Rita victims if we need too Since we didn't get as many Katrina victims as we expected.Amarillo is about 700 miles from the Gulf coast. Our weather problem is tornados but we've been lucky for the last several years. If it hits in the wrong place Houston could suffer some damage but not like New Orleans.Galveston is the largest Texas coast city in danger & Corpus Christi . Shug7272 Posted September 23, 2005 CID Share Posted September 23, 2005 We got six calls from different agencies including FEMA twice preparing us to take on massive amounts of evacuees so I may not be around for a while. Looks like alot of work ahead for my home.
