And don't forget that if you send too many at a time it will time out. Just to start over again from scratch. Hoping your post did not go through without the pic, or did it? It gets pretty messed up. So 30 seconds X 6 or whatever. Not as bad as dial-up though. Except storms and ice on the dish do not bother it like satelite. And there is no signal to monitor. Anyway, it will definately be my pleasure.

So that embarrasses you? Try having 500/50 and seldom posting over 100 kbps. And remember Sammy_C you may already have it set right, just be patient.

When I first arrived I did not know Diddly. Now I help out lots of folks myself. Of course a lot of it is just pointing folks in the right direction with links. But it helps. And I actually enjoy it. Now I know Diddly's middle name. I also enjoy the interaction with folks from all over the world. That is neat for me. Couldn't do that a few years ago.

My pleasure. Right here Sparticus013. It went for like 8 pages. http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=9811.0 Now come on Fred. (kidding)

It is a hand me down thing. Folks just passing it on. The same way we got it when we first got here. Someday you will be passing it on.

You can still tweak it. Try up or down on the dial every few days. It will change some. Just don't rush it, it takes some time but it is worth it. And really quite simple.

Free Playstation 3, someone from here GET IT!!
tommie gorman replied to Shug7272's topic in General Discussion
So call up ROM-DOS! Surely he is still around somewhere shug. -
OK. Other than safe mode, maybe it is time to check out the ISP. Now I did mean the full safe mode. Not the one with networking. The other is heavier duty. You do know how to get there?

That is sad. The live ones being pumped up is real bad. But I am not sure computer can fully similate the real experience. I would not want Doctors never to have seen real folks first. I think the system needs more watchful eyes. But if every Dept. in the government found the help it needed, we would probably just pay more taxes. Not sure what is right. How much control can we really afford??

If you are on cablenut, just keep playing around. Don't forget to see how lean you can strip it down to. Race cars run much better lightened up.
-
Word? Can you turn it off and try again? When you go start*run*type msconfig*enter*start up tab* How many things do you see checked? Try googling them to see what they all are.

Huh. loki123 this is a satelite section. Good to have the company, but cox.net is over there. Yeah, but it won't take as long. The really wierd part will be U/Ling pics to the forum. It takes for ever.

Dragonbreak who do you use for your Anti-virus and antispyware and such. Hope not Norton or McAffee. Also have you checked to see what is running in the background while you are on? Click keyboard keys Ctrl-Alt+Delete to see what might be running. Also you might turn off most things. All I have running upon startup is AVG Free AV &Anti-spy, and Windows Defender. Everything else is upon demand. Only when I want it. And it will start up faster when rebooting. Not time for ISP just yet Sparticus013. Also are you using a router, if so by pass it directly to the modem. This will tell you if you actually have a bad router. Have you restarted your modem lately? Pull the cable from you modem and touch the end with your finger tip for at least 10 seconds, and plug it back in. Have your ran your scans in safemode?

What is the best free Optimizing program?

I prefer booze and boobs. -
No joke really. Probably work on getting Bell to bring their 6.0 DSL line the last 5 city blocks to my house (I heard it could also be capable of the new 8.0). It is just laying there withing eye site from my front porch. If they will do that they will get my 2 cell phones, internet, they already have my land line, and I might even break down and get the digital T.V. for the kids to watch Disney (and me, who am I kidding) Then take that damned thing off of my roof. And patch the wholes.

It probably does. But hey, it keeps on ticking. Almost paid for too. I think they get their last payment this month. Almost makes me want to party. Been paying like $33 a month for the equipment alone.

In the beginning it happens. It soon goes away. Then on to better things.

Sometimes I wish I had your U/L. But not often enough.

Welcome to the forum OK, how long have you been with Hughes? If not long I would say you have been the victim of a bad install. If very long at all probably FAP'd. Meaning you used up your allotment of bandwidth downloading and are on the slow part till your bucket fills back up. Maybe a little more info. Try testing at hughes site, I know one time I was getting under 200kbps. so I tested at the worst times of day and called them. They decided to give me my help immediately. For you they will too. So use their test site for a few days and give them a call. 200kbps. is the lowest to be guaranteed to us. Good luck.

Oh, I saw coknucks thread and here is the answer. OK Roco, you got me again. Yeah I was trying to figure out what happened. And as usual nothing.
