Then they should fix it or replace it. It is not his fault they built and sold it to him. I don't know, I usually get 99% of things satisfied to me though. I just do not accept their answers, and they would rather give me one instead of listen to me all day. You can get a lot of people's attention in the store at Best Buy if you YELL. Believe me. Sorry for the rant. But it does not have to be that way. Or a suitable replacement.

So do you know which bird he might be on Bird Fan? Sorry for the pun, I just thought about it. ( bird he might be on Bird Fan)

Very good points daman4469. -
Just happens is the worst excuse in the world. If you ask me. If you sell something that has inherent problems, you should be finding a fix that you do not have to fix or repair. I believe they should either take them off the market, or find a suitable way do one better. If I put you on a roof and I told you it leaked because some of them just do that. Would you accept that? Hell no. Your car leaks, acceptable? No. Maybe just my thoughts, but I don't thiink so. I guess as long as I can I will be a CRT man. I hope I spelled it correctly(CRT).

Why fastbreaker, why? We would like you better if you told the truth. We do have optimization tools if you need them, to get real speeds. But your real ones are nice anyway.

First of all, the key word was " gently". Second of all I have fould if you are not satisfiied with a persons response, firmly ask to speak to a supervisor. Westinghouse is a good Co. And if you sre still not happy, ask for his super. And so on. Sounds like you paid damn good money for it, and I would not get shafted. Fix it or replace it. They should not be selling products that they do not back up. Just my thoughts of what I would do. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. SQUEEK SQUEEK!

That would be the one Roco. Now something that ugly and old and European? But I will try. Any clues?

cholla, I think he responds to Reso also. At least when he feels like it.

Believe me you will not need sleezy to fill it up. Try joining these 2: http://www.bizrate.com/ http://www.pricegrabber.com/ They will flood you with merchants.

Yeah, you may think that now. But wait till you start teaching your own. They will amaze you. I was always smart at most things, but the problem is you teach them what you know, and they go on from there. Laugh now, but you will see. But it is cute and funny right now though. And it will make you proud and frustrated at the same time. Soon you will find out other than wisdom, they will surpass you in no time. It is their world, and it is our job to prepare them for it. Oh well getting off topic. You will find they think it is a game to out smart you though.

I was really just joking how simple my computer is to secure. I figured she and you knew that one. Actually it is a matter of a few years, before my kids outsmart me on that one. The wife...well she will have to have the kids do it for her. I think she would get lost in the bathtub. Seriously.

On the sat you could actually ask Hughes, or someone on here (ghostmaster or Bird Fan) would probably know. I was actually told by one of them that mine was AMC9. And then I put it in my sig. On your speeds, I am not sure if I have helped you as of yet. You are running a clean computer? "Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer" http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257 You have restarted your modem? Pull second cable out of back of modem and touch the tip for like 10 seconds or more, and replug. You have downloaded the "Browsing Optimization Utility" in the 192.168.0.1 site? Some say it does not make a dif. but I do it anyway. What is your signal strentgh? System Status radio button in 192.168.0.1 at the top. It might tell if you need a repoint of your satelite. You do defrag regularly? What do you get on speeds at hughes test site? Have you checked with Hughes yet to make sure you are configured correctly in internet options? Have you tweaked it yet if all of that is done? I almost forgot, do you know if you are grounded properly? When they installed I made sure they were grounded to my water line. If your is plastic, you may need to put in one your self. Or make sure it is grounded to the mainbreaker box. Are there any obstructions, trees etc..? And above all else, Is the sky clear?

At least maybe we can get this cleared up, so he can just go on and enjoy and post his U/L speeds. Like anyone else. I hate these disputes.

That ain't no joke, that is the way it really works too. Been there and did that too.

Man you bite, can I move in? It would be like X-mas, all those danged toys.

But you aren't my wife and kids. They don'tknow how to hook one up.

No, I just hate cords on my mouse. They get in my way. It is a Microsoft Cordless Optical 2.0. I love it til the batteries run low every couple of weeks or so.
-
I already checked, they said they will be.
-
All I have to do is take my mouse with me, it would stop anybody in my house. And it is cordless.

I have no idea on the specific sat for 7000. But to find you sat, I can give you the locator. http://192.168.0.1/ Click on system info. Satellite Box on the right. I believe these are my coordinates. Longitude: 83 West Receive Frequency: 1310 MHz Sorry for the late post. I am sure Truckinslim would appreciate it Blunted 2. As I know how it feels to get extreme speeds and feel like I did something wrong.

Confused with test results from different sites

ccleaner is a bit strong just to test. And removes the cookies. Unregisters you from the forum. Just click on Tools at the top of the browser-Internet options*Delete Files Including Offline content*OK*OK*Test. That might keep you from hanging so much. I posted off of my e-mail. Had no idea I had missed so much. -

Are you cleaning out your temp files before testing? -
Rule of thumb here. Rule #1. Never tweak before making sure your computer is clean. It may get worse. "Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer" http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257

Try this as it will take you directly to the 12 Meg test. Make sure you clean out your temp files before clicking, as it takes you directly into the test. No waiting. http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?ni=1&tt=1&s=12160&st=st
