  1. Yeah, reminds me of a friend of mine. He would work on cars for other people, and if they did not pay for the repairs, the car was his. Totally. He or I would go get a pint of whiskey and go have fun. We might go 4 wheeling, farm hauling, pond jumping, roll it, shoot it up, or what ever. It was amazing how many people would bring him work and not pay. One time we hit a back road hill at 120 mph and went air borne quite a ways, I was plasttered to the roof of the car for a while. It was on a beer run. It also was a charger. We ripped out the oil plug, and just made it back with the beer, and the motor was rattling to beat the band. To verify the jump, the next day I went out and measured how far we had been airborne, it was 75' before the car impacted the asphalt again. What a ride. Pond jumping, consisted of running full speed at a farm pond, and seeing if it would skip like a rock to the other side. A Toyota with wide tires did the best of them all. Now that was car abuse. Yeah, he preferred imports to tear up. Two reasons: One he hated imports, and second they would take the most abuse. No do not try these stunts at home. And definately, do not use your mothers car.
  2. Actually, even an alcoholic has got to want to quit. If they do not want to quit it will not ever actually work. And if they are not quiting because they, not you, are wanting to, again it will not work. You cannot make anybody quit. Only in front of you. Thereby comes deceit and lies, and heartache. Just thoughts on addiction of any type. Only then can they work on quitting! No pressure
  3. Have you tried a cable-nut file to tweak your connection? http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013
  4. :haha: Maybe get rid of the nose and turn the hair brown. That might actually work.
  5. Photo shop time! Add some hair.
  6. Personally wish we could have worked it out with the U.N. and let them help us mop up after we started it. Would have been a lot less publicity like this if the U.N. were there, and it would not have cost so much. As for France, well I still will not drink their wine! Another Germany split 4 ways would have worked well!
  7. The closest I got to quit smoking was to take a full pack and remove one each day down to the last one. Worked for 9 months. Won't go into the failure.
  8. Christian is a loose term as is athiest. Was he a christian? Only he might know. My ex-wife was an athiest, believed that we are here to enjoy and turn to dirt. But she did wonder about a lot. We actually got along for the most part.
  9. Funny as it may sound, it is an investment in your pleasure. Buy a bunch. I once bought 20 cases of some pop, don't remember what. But you will still miss it after the last one no matter what!
  10. So what would be the advertised speeds on those, or did I miss reading that?
  11. gotmilk, Google: http://store.drsoda.com/vanillacoke1.html I'd hurry if you are truly a lover of it! Your thanks is enough!
  12. I think I will enjoy the overseas flavor in this thread. And a hardy welcome to the forum Miles_Smiles. Heck, bring your pals. Or would that be chaps?
  13. Confusious say: better to appear stupid, than to open mouth and remove all doubt. The way I heard it as a kid. I did not know that it was a real quote.
  14. Welcome to the forum machine. What are your advertised speeds? By the way, that connection stomps mine at 1075 kbps satelite.
  15. The whole thread is humurous actually. Just read it from start to finish. Sounds like an edition form one of those rag newspapers, like the Globe or Enquirer.
  16. Man those 4000's scream. for a satelite connection. And I don't believe Wild Blue can have a 4000. Can they?
  17. Correct me if I am wrong. So they are going to give 4 x faster than dialup internet access, for $20 a month? Sounds pretty alright. It would help out lower incomers. By the way, that obviously worked, thanks. Just noticed the same thing happened with mine. I just posted the link and it did the same thing. So I edited it out. It probably has something to do with: Copyright 2006 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
  18. Great name. I would have been less confused. confused2: Thanks for all the lost ones to come. As always. You know now that you did that, all the other forums will follow. I mean this site is number 1. And the Jones have to keep up. They don't want to miss out on the action. Yeah I just took a peak at it and it looks "Professional".
  19. Welcome to the forum Sparticus. First of all you are not supposed to run TCP Optimizer and cable-nut togather. Since this forum uses mostly cablenut, I would suggest staying with that and eliminating the TCP. Sometimes they conflict with each other.
  20. Welcome to the forum The G.F.P. What are your advertised speeds? When you test you might try the 2992 test file. You might also delete cookies and files and offline files in internet options.
  21. Actually, that is what I thought exactly when I first started here! Then one day I decided since I could not find enough info without going in there. WTF, why not? And the rest is history! I just looked up child boards in Webster "None" Google: http://forum.freestateproject.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=807f6f72bd81c5227dcb9a45055d9ff6&topic=9358.new I especially liked this one:They weren't keeping close enough watch on the parent boards.
  22. Don't forget J.F.K., I actually studied him for a large book report in high school. My research told me that most of his mistakes were actually affected by his vice president Lyndon Baines Johnson.President only by JFK's demise. Yes almost every thing JFK tried to do was stopped by LBJ, or ruined by LBJ. No LBJ did not personally shoot JFK, but he had a lot of motive to have it done. And the reason he was chosen to be JFK's vice, was because he had so much power in congress. VERY powerful. And if my memory serves me correctly, he was on Airforce 1 immediatly after JFK's shooting. No he did not stay long enough to see if JFK was OK. Think what you want, but that is what I sermised back in school, and we did have internet to do quick research. Only libraries. So any work you did back then would stay with you a long time. And i got an A+ on my report.
