Question maybe someone can explain please
tommie gorman replied to sirius05's topic in Make it Faster...
Welcome to the forum sirius05. Yeah, your down needs some help. Just read what he posted. Good luck. And when you add cablenut, wait a couple of days for full effects. -
I thought the bike had the car for a minute. Nah, I was never worried about the jet.

Yeah, that over idea might work pretty well. I had this same problem with my friend in Iraq. Talking over the top of each other. Kind of prehistoric.

should i add fan to my video card ?
tommie gorman replied to alan8187's topic in Networking and Hardware
If the manufacturers would install fans on all of them, they would not have that problem. And they would reduce their inventory, thereby reducing their storage costs. And pass the savings on to the customer. Sometimes I wonder if they really think these things out fully. -
Another reason not to use the "Geek Squad"
tommie gorman replied to Swimmer's topic in General Discussion
You would fix it instead of selling them something. There would not be any money in you. -
Also use your ccleaner before rebooting also. Clean all that up and post a speed test with 2992. If it is still slower than expected, try PMing Van, and maybe he can give you a better one.

Yeah, a Good lawyers work is worth every dollar spent. -
Some get over advertised speeds, some don't. But I would say that you should be able to go alot faster. You say optimized, I assume that you meant TCP Optimizer. Maybe if you dumped that and got a cablenut instead(with cable anyway) you might see better speeds. If you meant cablenut you might PM Van, remember he is busy. He could get you a better setting. Just a thought.

Like I said. Wow double already. By Sunday evening you should be up to par. Great. Van, the man with the plan. Welcome to the forum dirtysanchez , if I haven't already. -
Welcome to the forum sander19. Also post a speed test, with the 2992 file test. Have you tried cablenut? http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013

Have you tried a cablenut file optimizer? http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013 If not and you use it, let it set in about 3 days to get full effects.

state court ruling against forum operator
tommie gorman replied to resopalrabotnick's topic in General Discussion
I definately think the judge is nuts, but I can see some of his point. You are responsible for you kids and anything that happens on your property. For instance, I am responsible for anything my tenants do, even though I live 45 miles away, according to the city courts. I do try to get it passed onto the tenants, but as the property owner, I am still somewhat responsible. Yeah, nuts. But they figure that they can scare me a lot easier, since I have a lot more at risk. The tenant can just move if they want, and I still own the building. -

Look in here a pick out a cablenut file that fits, and try it. Also let it set in a coupe of days to get the full effects. -
Welcome to the forum Asesino. Might try testing with the 2992 file test, it gives the connection a chance to warm up. Are you virus and spyware free? Do you clean out cookies and files including offline continent before testing? Are you using a registry cleaner?

Well sometimes instead of just waiting for help.. It is best to keep looking while you wait, and quicker. Also I had thrown my entire arsenal of cleanup goodies at it, and it was just laughing at me. That was when I figured it was going to be a booger. AVGs, Windows Defender, Spybot, vcleaner, Yahoo anti- spy,to no avail. Really did not want to reformat!

Thanks for the help. But it was too simple. http://forums.techguy.org/security/308403-solved-java-byte-verify-virus.html do you have Sun's java , or Microsoft's javaVM? If you have sun's go to control panel, click on java, click cache and clear. If you have Microsoft's unistall it and download Sun's java. http://www.helpwithwindows.com/WindowsXP/howto-21.html http://java.com/en/download/help/cache_virus.jsp this is the download page for Sun's Java http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp khaz This seems to have satisified AVG, as it no longer detects it. Google may not be god, but it never hurts. I also downloaded the updates while I was in there.

I have just been bitten by "Java/Byte Verify" and AVG identified, but will not remove. Help

Yeah, they are right. I went in the winter while I lived in Pittsburg, figured I would never make it up that way again. My mother went in Spring, she brought back some beautiful pics.
