You know this might sound dumb, but there are 10 enlisted mens levels, and10 officer levels, in the military. The first enlisted being no stripes, newbie, or don't hurt yourself. There are also 20 levels at 5% segments. If you gave each 5% segment an insignia and a nickman, that might work. So in simple users terms, even though the actual downloadspeed would be the same, would it appear to, or seem to be twice as fast in performance. Page loading, browsing, etc...

Get the pro and small business mixed up. Dway sales told me small business was the only way to increase my download speed and the prices were what he quoted me, does not mean he actually knew what he was talking about, sorry to misquote if I did. He said small business was $1000 equipment and $40 a month more. I said sorry to bother and goodbye! :mad2:

"anderb ", not everybody can get the goodies internet connection like some folks. Some us of work with what is available. What you have is probably pretty good for your area. Like me, some parties would suggest FIOS which hardly available except in select few areas. We will work with what you have, but you must put out some more posts with a little more information. Don't let others make you feel little just so they can feel a little bigger, so they think. Very good site to increase your speed and smooth out your your computer. I have doubled my internet speed and computer smoothness. Have also eliminated 99.9% of all malfunctions. Really great site and bunch of guys!! :D

So you are saying that you got the same speeds on the CONSUMER as you do on the PRO. Then why don't you save about $40 a month and go CONSUMER 7000? Just curious. Same d/l same u/l less $$$$

The best will be the lowest priced one in two years, but in the mean time I was able to enjoy it for those 2 years also. More bang for the buck. If you can afford it get what you want the first time, you won't be sorry. And will be more upgradeable. Enjoy!!! ;) Actually mine was new enough that their was no knowledge of it in emachines database, everything pointed to it being a gateway(mother company). Took 2 months for this to be changed. Just a little interesting.

One thing I did learn about buying emachines is if you buy the cheapest one, is that it will be obsolete within 2 years. So this time I did the math and figured that if I bought the most I could afford, I would not be obsolete for at least 2or3 more years. Example $300 for 2 years, or $500 for 5 years. Anyway that was my analysis. And more RAM potential, with media center and better speakers, and rebates, actually probably only paid about $100 more. :roll:

One thing I have learned is that all newbies are not technically challenged as I was, or am. But interesting to try to help, even though I usually get beat to the punch. Anybody that does not get an answer within 24 hours is usually an over technical(my knowledge)question that a knowledgeable member needs to answer, and I try to PM one I know of. Usually Swimmer, because ROM-DOS is usually to busy to PM. Nothing personal against the rest of you, just that that is where is where I have gotten most of my most knowledgeable answers from. How do you know if you are getting a speed burst? Keep hearing about it, but nobody ever explains it. :shock: :shock:

I practically stopped calling emachines, when 99% of their answers were,restore, or(YUCK)recovery. Finally found that if you keep your computer clean, you won't have to call them, maybe once a year. Easier to just check on this website. And the constant reminders about renewing your support subscription for $100 plus. If you ask them why that is always their answer,(well that is not all we do). Don't get me wrong, they do have some knowledge staff, but most of them have to look up the answers and do research,(will you hold while I research this?) They do always fix it though. Just easier ways to go about most of it. And only covers the certain parts. You will have to contact Microsoft. You will have to contact ATI. You will have to contact Samsung. You will have to contact Konica Minolta. ETC......... Support HAH :evil3: :evil3: Pretty good computers though if your not a gamer, like me. Most good gamers could probably roast one though! ;) Actually on my third one, First one did not know how to clean one and crashed the whole thing and sold it for the box. Second one got too small. This one T6522 was largest one available. So far pretty good luck. ENJOY!!!

Thanks steve47906 for that compliment not sure if ok to acknowledge sometimes, others are pretty unhappy sometimes, and don't like to ruffle too many feathers. But like others it has a lot to be desired. And I mostly surf in the evenings.

Fikester when you upgraded this time, did you go for the pro plan again or did you go for the consumer plan this time. Or is that the business plan, I get confused? :?

Looks pretty decent from here for that time of day. More like I excepted to see from a 7000 Pro the way everybody talked. If you haven't tried any of the tweaks yet, dig around and try some. Not sure about the burst but you might try the 12MB test, although they still claim I am bursting, though one might wonder if everybody doesn't burst. -- I use this DW7000 all hours of the day every day ....not impressed at all. So if your looking for faster speeds you need the Small Office Plan or higher ! Sorry to say I just called office and they said my caps are supposed to be 500 Kbps, and the small business is supposed to be 1000. They want $99 instead of $59 now and i already get a little over 1000. They also say I have to purchase another $1000 in equipment to get small business plan, meaning additional money. WOW.
