I have updated the default theme and a few others to be gray in the forum view I also added another new theme called Gray-Lady Red -- I will be adding a blue, green, orange and purple version of this theme tomorrow. NJOY!

This is a reminder of a feature that testmy.net has that you may not know about... As a registered member of testmy.net you have the option to add your friends of testmy.net to a buddylist. Once someone is added to your buddylist their name will be in bold on the "Guests & Members Online" section on the front page of the site when they're online, so you can quickly know which of your personal buddies is online. This also give you the availibility to quickly contact the people on your buddy list without having to search for them. If you'd like to take advantage of this feature you can start to build your buddylist at >> http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;sa=editBuddies --- (I have recently made a change the this page that will help you build your list a little faster, when the page is loaded you will automatically be focused on the portion of the page where you type in the buddies name... trust me, it will make a big difference in how quickly you can build your list. I made the change because when I was building my list I was getting quite annoyed at how long it was taking, after the change I was able to add people MUCH faster ) If you'd like to review or add people to your buddylist in the future you can get to it under the "Edit Profile" tab, then click "Edit Buddies" in the left-submenu. My friend here just now told me that blue black box is his favorite ... i personally didn't like it all that much, but I've had a few people tell me that now :-/ -- right on

WOOHOO! I had the eureka moment! -- As you may notice the ad colors now change with the themes, and the ad code is not altered Enjoy! -- I'm going to make a couple of adjustments, a little fine tuning and it's all done. I also made a change that changes the color of the hover over in the main menu.

I use the default too.... but even the default theme was updated -- just a very subtle change. I'm working on making the ad colors change with the themes. The thing is that google does not allow ANY change to their script so I can't incorporate the java that controls the themes into the ad script.... so I have to make it 100% server-side changed, it's going to be veeeery tricky to do, but I'm working out how to do it in my head right now, as soon as I have the eureka moment I will write the script.

I'm right clicking on the taskbar then going to the 'toolbars' menu and un-checking 'language bar' in the sub-menu. It goes away but something brings it back somehow ?????

Mine's 7 lbs... it's not that bad, you get used to it... It's just a little cumbersom for me right now because I haven't found a case for it yet... as soon as my new ATM card come in the mail I'll get one for sure. You'll get used to the size.. and it's worth the extra weight for the extra features.. especially that 17" - very nice.... I still wish mine was under 4-5 lbs.. it would be nice

The main new one is Red 'n Black I also darkened the forum colors for the bloodred theme Other minor themes added are Blue Black Box, Blue Gray and Copper... I made these a while back but I never added them to the menu, I figured I should add them. Maybe someone will like one of them - D

Oh, by the way.... speaking of people sending requests during times like that; there were so many requests sent by people during that outage that there was 4GB of error logs, in turn overflowing my /var partition. Do yourself a favor and the webmaster a favor when you see problems like that... give the site some time to repair the problem. By sending thousands of requests you are only making it take longer to repair --- from now on I'm going to kill public access durring repairs so I don't have to deal with all those requests, lol

Sorry, had a little issue there I've fixed the problems. I was making an update to the site and made a complete mistake. I have corrected the issue and business will resume as usual. Too bad we had about an hour of downtime --- sorry for the inconvenience. The thing that makes repair a headache sometimes is that when there is an error everyone that's on the site keep refreshing pages and keep sending requests. When you times that by the hundreds of people usually on at any given time it can be taxing on the server and taxing on my nerves.. hehe. -- All that matters is that everything is restored. - Damon

Never longer than 36-48 hours... I like to sleep too much to stay awake any longer That one radio show guy in the 30's or something tried to stay up as long as he could and shortly after he did it on AIR (I think he set a sober reccord at like 5 days or something, during which he hallucinated many, many times... having waking dreams) he ended up basically going crazy. It was BAD, his wife and family left him and lost his job... he ended up losing everything all because of trying to stay awake and beat the world reccord. He was just never right in the head after that. (someone see if you can find information on that, I'm curious to see exact dates and how many days he actually stayed up because I'm sure my facts are a little off) -D
