mine just finished.. I'm going to burn it to DVD and start the install pretty soon --- like I said, I'm going to highlight the whole process and write an article about it.
-
by the way.. my download is at 21% -- when it's done I'm going to install and I will make a topic about the install... I'll let you guys know what I think about it.

Mine started .. check out the article I posted about this .... http://www.testmy.net/articles/article-638 --

I think it's because I forgot to optimize the table last night after I removed about 200,000 entries from it (oops).. it's usually a good idea to optimize after that many rows of the database have been removed. But at least it was an easy fix, thanks for being patient with me. - Damon

I am repairing a corrupt database --- you may get errors over the next 20 minutes or so.... but it should be restored without any major issues. - Damon

Welcome to the site Shadow ... cool screenshot, I like the watermark you put on it.... you can submit screenshots if you'd like but they really aren't nessisary here because I have written the site with sharing scores in mind... your scores are logged and have a validation URL... amung the information the validation url pulls up is your screename, so you can just get the 'copy and paste' stuff off the results page and paste it here. here's mine :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 8786 Kbps about 8.79 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 1073 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 1017 Kbps about 1.02 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB) Upload Speed is:: 124 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/06/07 - 3:10am D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-950YPAOEU U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-P4CTGISM3 Host Average:: host:Cox.net dl-avg:4610Kbps ul-avg:659Kbps User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) [!] (I took the test above when I was logged in under my other account.. my test account) (cool, huh )

Please do not chat in this thread... only provide the following information If you would like to participate in this study please read the entire thread before posting your information. (any chatting in this thread will be discarded, this is a thread to gather data only, thank you for respecting this) Who is your ISP What is your package ** please also post your results for the Express Dual Test Examples: (please format your answer like any of the following -- if you don't want to enter the information the way I'm suggesting then please don't submit any information) Note: There is no need to write Mbps or Kbps - I will know what your talking about. But please DO NOT submit your package in kB/s, that is a term used to explain the speed of file transfer not line speed... if you submit your speed in kB/s I will have to smack you, lol. Please also submit any other packages that you know 100% sure that your ISP offers, if you include other packages please submit them like the following. The information is being gathered for a future feature on the site, thank you in advance for your participation. Please don't post in this thread unless you are posting the requested information and submitting it in the requested format. More information on why this information is being gathered will be posted in the following weeks.

do me a favor and run another test.. this time do a screenshot, upload the screenshot to this thread for me please.... I'll track down the problem

I took a few hours this evening to script up some additions to the testing. I have added a dual test feature which allows you to test both upload and download at the same time. I hope you all like it. It lacks the details of the individual tests but I may add all the details at a later date. here are my results from the test... so you guys can see what the cut 'n paste output looks like :::.. testmy.net test results ..::: Download Connection is:: 8595 Kbps about 8.6 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 1049 kB/s Upload Connection is:: 1010 Kbps about 1.01 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB) Upload Speed is:: 123 kB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/06/06 - 11:12pm D-Validation Link:: http://www.testmy.net/stats/id-U1WZ02ESJ U-Validation Link:: http://www.testmy.net/stats/id-DW2RYVJM3 User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) [!] The image below shows where the link is to run this test

They will most likely be gone soon. It was a test that a Google rep suggested that I try... it's not performing as well as they originally thought.

Some people sign up just to be able to store their scores under their username (it also allows them to save the scores for longer)... or they sign up to use one of the tools that requires membership. Some of them also sign up so that they can have post notification. I've seen quite a few members that have little or no posts that are still regular visitors (regular enough for me to remember seeing them in the 'who's online' list)... some people just don't want to post but would like the other benefits of membership. One of the members who was like this ended up posting once and we had a conversation about why he never posted, he said that he just didn't feel like contributing to the conversations he also said that he read the through the forums at least a hour a day, every day... I forgot who this was but they are now a regular poster... they went for over a year without making their first post. My point is that just because someone has a post count of zero doesn't mean that they aren't a regular visitor..... they're just shy
-
and that's still allot of post... but our top posters put up some crazy ass numbers
