I have noticed that out of all the new ISP forums I created here that DirecWay's forum by far has the most posts, I have also noticed in my stats and in my database that a large majority of the tests performed here are user host 'direcpc.com' -- and I have heard ALOT of people tell me that a tech over the phone at DirecWay told them about my site. Nice score... and thank you for your loyalty I can see that you have been on my site for quite a long time (what the hell took you so long to join my forum!! ) But, what's up with your speeds... they fluctuate alot, I see alot of nice scores... but some bad scores filling in the middle. Seems like you do FAR better on larger files than smaller files. You may want to try looking at this guide ( https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=1013.0 ) if you already haven't, also talk to Van. We all might be able to get you some more consistant speeds.

I'm going through over 25+ GB/day last I checked... but any bandwidth will help... I will just have to make sure that I work something in that will calcualte from my end how much data is used (like log what tests were taken and calculate from there) PM me bro...

You are absolutely correct... and this is also why I have changed the verbage of the counter from "XXX users testing" to "XXX users on site" because every page that the counter loads on is counted in the data. Also, like at the moment it says "221 users on site" - that basically means that in the past 15 minutes (what I have flush set to) 221 unique people have opened some page on the site. I do have pretty high stats for this site (trending well over 200,000 people this month, an this is growing every month, and one day I will need another test server for sure)... but I don't have high enough stats to have 200 people testing at the same time most of the time... when that counter gets to 2000+ maybe.... As you can see below, (now this is an average... bursts are not shown) I am not using all my resources... as you can see below that, you may see that 60Mbps spike, that is where I was hacked and my box was sending out DOS attacks... my point is that durring that attack it sent 60Mbps+ outbound... no problem. I am watching the server, if I see this to be a growing issue I may relocate the server. But right now, alot of the time I test and I get awesome scores (does anyone else?) :::.. Sounds easy... but to do this live with only PHP on my side... without users having to open themselves up to a security hole, isn't possible as far as I can understand. The download progress bar is easy, it simply splits the data into chunks, hides the downloaded data and places a | between the chunks. Upload bar is a bitch, trust me I spent hours tring to figure this out

I can't do this without a java applet or activeX -- two things I am against using, I have thought forwards and backwards and can't think of any other way to code that :-/ -- maybe one day I will figure it out, but as far as I know it's impossible without client-side bullcrap.
