  1. What is the make and model of the cable modem? It would be nice to see the results of the internal diag page of he modem.
  2. What are your speed results without the rouer in place? Are they the same or did you say they were fine meaning you were getting your advestised speed of 6.0/384...I'm confused..
  3. Awesome, a big brown beaver...wish I had a pair.
  4. It's not a firmware or security issue. Try tweaking the tcp window for the wireless adapter. https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
  5. The way to speed up your service is to pay for additional bandwidth from your service provider.
  6. Your distance from the Testmy.net Servers: 232.57 miles
  7. Try UltraVNC. Its freeware and works great. Load UltraVNC server on the host and of course UltraVNC client on the client machine.
  8. Yea, it never ceases to amaze me how many people will cry foul my ISP is lying or trying to screw me when they just plain don't know WTF they are doing. It gets a little old at times for those of us in the business. JMHO...
  9. Good luck and God bless soldier. I appreciate what you are doing for us.
  10. The "Thermaltake TR2 W0070RUC ATX 430W Power Supply 115/230 V" should do just fine.
  11. Thanks for getting in on this. Its been several years since I played with ICS so I couldn't remember the specifics.

  13. Odd, works for me. It is the Internet storm center. You can see all kinds of trends. Anything from current port activity by country and overall Inet health stats.

  15. Nope, unless you serve the ISP responsible for the IP address with a subpoena.
  16. What you are trying to do I am pretty sure will not work using the .17 address in the same subnet as the rest of the network. If I am not mistaken you would have to enable ICS (internet connection sharing) on the host computer which will do something similar to NAT for the "slave" network card. I will admit I have never tried what you are doing and am not able to test my theory to prove it out. I am hoping others will chime in with their opinion.
  17. Is there absolutely no ability to purchase a hub/switch with additional ports? That would be the best choice. I am still thinking this through....
  18. I use fileZilla FTP server/clients for my network.
  19. It looks like http://windrivers.com had a catagory for them but it costs to register.
  20. Shug7272..what SuddenLink market do you live in?
