I would be trusting NOD32 more than the Microsoft Security Essentials! I also use Malwarebytes and have a lot of trust in it.

I ment 32bit.

Personally I find the x86 runs a lot smoother than the x64. I ran the 64bit for a while and got tired of program incompatibility. I'm getting ready to put a new hard drive in this laptop and will go with the 32bit RTM with the 64bit upgrade!

Are you using a Actual Copy of Windows 7 or a burnt copy? If you burnt the copy you might want to re-burn it a 1x or 2x. Also after the burn you might want to run a CRC check utility to prevent this from happening CRC: Cyclic redundancy check, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_redundancy_check
