  1. Welcome to the forum! You can try ALT+F10 or CTRL+F10 during the initial boot cycle - this will prompt the laptop to access the recovery partition on the hard drive. Good luck!

  4. I left out the Graphics Card because it has onboard video and this was for my Wife who doesn't play intensive games at all.

  12. A while back I couldn't connect to my router in Vista but could in Windows 7. I was dual booting the two. Like you said out of the blue I couldn't connect to the Vista. So I reformatted the Vista and all was good again.
  13. Is the USB port good on your Mothers machine? Have you tried any thing else there to see if the port is good?

  15. Glad you like NOD32. I've been using it for about a year and a half now and don't see any reason to change. Best AV I ever used.
  16. Try this: C>Program Files>find cyberdefender file and delete. Now Run> Type regedit> HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software and look for cyberdefender and delete. Do the same for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Reboot and run Malwarebytes. This should remove it. PS: You might want to do this in"safe mode with networking" Edit: Forgot to add this picture.
