Hi ratchet , have you tried adjusting the colour in dislay properties it's in settings > advanced , or by the monitor controls , BTW I only need a an tuneable graphics card for photographic work , I use this a test picture to set the monitor to the printer ,

Oh, timely advice Starship T, and a big thanks for the head up on this , as I had been loooking to install that , I do use some power toys wallpaper changer , and image resizer , they both work well , Image resizer is great for cutting down digital camera images for posting on TMN, and wallpaper changer works great for giving a new desktop image every day, starship , may the sun shine out of your camels ass for this info as BSOD is smomething I ain't seen since win 98, not even on win M.E. lol there are even days when I think I can walk on water , but I still take swimming lesons on the odd days

toothpaste is a polish , , and may well blend very light scratches , but you got to look at "what is a scratch and why does it show " basically it is a layer of the surface that has been removed , it's lost and gone , all you can hope for is remove the high ridge either side of it and hope it don't show so much , there is no magic scratch remover out there , if there was 1/2 the auto paint shops would be out of business , unfortunately the surface on computer parts (silver or black ?) is only a few microns thick , if the scratch has cut through that into the base material you are out of luck ,

If they are deep , no chance , if it is just light scuffing an automotive cutting paste may work , but try it on a hidden part first ,

Oh, sorry I should have explained more , you could use 2 with 2 monitors , but what I meant to say was , if they were free I would buy ? 2 , and keep one as a spare, or for a second computer , as I got lots of earlier computers given to me ,and those Pci cards have got to be better than integrated graphics built into the motherboard , as they rob memory from the computer , but I see in your case you have 1Gb of ram , so not a problem on that for you , I would expect to see better quality output from the Pci graphics card and may be a slight improvement in performance , it the card was costing money I would sugest leaving things be , but for free ? go for it if you do go this route ratchet , post back and let us know the results ? , even at

yeah, as a freebie give it a whirl , and you may be able to disable the intergrated graphics in the Bios and free up some memory , it was a good card in it's day , anyway you have no AGP or Pci-E slot on that board , so it is a good option , especially for free , I would buy 2 at that price , (free) just my opinion , and the usuall disclaimer etc ,

Hmmm, good advice ninjageek , I feel the same way about your #2, with the addition,look at the the air imput to the case , as cool air is at a low level and most towers have slots for air intake near the lower front of the case and provision for air intake there, and a possible fan mounting , (set to pump air in ) and a pre filter can be fitted to stop the inevitable dust coming in , IMHO , no amount of exhaust fans will compensate for poor/negligible air intake , just think of air flow , cold in low . out high is hot, let the thermal dynamics work for you ,

, what a mess on the LINK Coknuck , I am de-cluttering office desks for a company , only the flat screen and mouse and keyboard to be on the desk X 48 times , no cables to be on the floor , and fitted out of sight under the desk , so I now spend my days on my back , but not in the way I hopped , yeah, I am playing desk bunny ,but the view is interesting I had a French secretary say "can I hold it while you do zee screwing" ,and to think I get paid for doing this My own desktop , just the monitor and mouse , keyboard on a slide out tray , yeah the minimilist desk , it leaves plenty of space for the unpaid bills etc.

LOL , I just use a strip cut off an old credit card , (got lots of them ) otherwise I go along with swimmer on that , get the layer as thin as possible , without any voids in the surface , duh, I still use the silver, the white silicon grease gave me higher temps. by about 10 F , and never had any problem , but I hve only done about 30 so far , the bit that scares me is getting the heatsink clips on , there has got to be a better way than that ?
