  1. Hi Maddohunter , Shugs ,saygoodie, disk licker's is everyone a loon on this forum, I do hope so, I hate being alone I have checked my box of new disks and there is no health warning , BTW what did they taste like ? P.S. Maddoghunter did you moisten the tongue with a single malt first ,
  2. All my applications are free
  3. hi aznhakkaboi Have you tried Tommies suggestion of removing the wireless router , if that makes no difference , call Rogers Hey Guys, nice to see the Cav. has arrived , but please, stop milling around, should aznhakkaboi make that call , B4 he comits a felony ,the way I see it he has the proof, yeah some good people seem to be missing, should we start a topic, " where are you now "
  4. Hi Cholla , never seen a water filled I.D. the Citroen one , is a 9 inch long x 4 inch wide thinwall tube sealed at both ends , inside at the bottom is a spring , above that a free floating steel weight ,like a loose fitting solid piston , the tube was part filled with oil, just for lubrication , this Assembly was bolted to the suspension arm in the vertical plane, near the wheel hub , the dampers were friction disks , like a clutch assy. and were adjustable , by the mid 1970s they went over to using normal oil filled dampers, mainly for cost saving, as the ride was no better , Oh lol water injection, we had that, but as petrol improved it's octane rating it fell out of use, we experimented with high compresions and 10% industrial alcohol , but again engines and fuel both improved ,BTW my 2cv has 9.5-1 comp ratio and runs 95 octane lead free with no problems
  5. Hi Cholla ,I think we have a basic difference in view here, and I am sure we are both right for us in the UK, probably smaller than Texas ?, with a population of 60 million, social pressures are high, you cant have a row with your neihbour, and just drive into the outback and let of a few rounds at a can, mainly because if you found this outback the car park would be full, During ww1 &2 civilins in the UK were not armed , even our home guard mainly had pitch forks , the lucky few a shotgun , the two maniac gunmen were gun club members , one used a AK47 , we didn't have to prosecute , as they both died , I cant see giving the teacher a hand gun would have made any difference, School security has been stepped up since then, and has been added to my tax bill, Government complicity , I don't see the reason for that, we were allready a gun free society , but you may well be right on some counts, just look at the Princes Diana affair.to many coincidences in that case, as the Queen said there are dark forces afoot . thanks Tdawnaz , I nearly kicked my guide dog over that (law abiding ) IHOP, sounds good , Mc.Donald's , nobody over 25 goes in them in the UK as it is compulsory to have zits to get in , or work there We have a explosion of French style pavement restaurants springing up all over the place, very nice to eat on the pavement with heavy goods vehicles passing a few feet away , the one I had a coffee at, was next to the bus stop, so every 10 minuets , a queue would surround the table , and a bloody big smoking London bus would pull up, I am more the picnic in the park sort Regards all Roco UK
  6. Very good point Tommie , ooops I mised the wireless bit , and wireless is not my scene either , I dont trust these new dang - fangled things
  7. hey, aznhakkaboi, have you talked to your parents about this, about the possible cost etc, is there a cost for rogers to come out ? sorry i can't make that call for you , you have convinced me that it is your neihbour , but I am 3000+ miles away and have little experience of cable and no knowledge of Rogers , sorry to sound so negative , it is nearly 4 am in UK , and I am tired, If you can wait till tommorow , we can raise the profile of your problem/ question, regards Roco UK
  8. thanks philp, I am looking into the franchise deal , it's that good huh ? Mind you we have got Mc.Donalds and only 500 yards from my door as near to Hampton Court Palace as they dared, ( 1 mile from me , house prices rise by the yard around here ) yeah, I am only 500 yards from being rich I wish
  9. LOL , we had the same test from Eire(uk ) well sort of , that will start a war lol, with Testmy .net results you can save to notepad , just test to as many places as you can, and save the results, my Techie ( in the UK ) was happy with my tests from testmy.net, try =http://www.speedtest.net/ if you have Flash enabled, good luck with your e-mails , post back with the results ,
  10. Hi cholla , How do you define law abiding , we had gun clubs fully legit , and yeah, I have my marksman cert.cal 303, but 2 members ran amok and killed many kids, so now if I get shot , it will be by our police or some hood, not some drunk neibour, I think IMHO opinion America's mistake was was to to override ! it's policy in not entering in to continental wars , sorry if I have got that wrong, as you know no insult is ever intended , and I do realize if you had taken that route I would be speaking German, , on that point you would be surprised how many UK citizens think that it maybe not such a bad thing ,
  11. LOL , you are right there , or maybe I lead a sheltered life who said, lies and more dammed lies ? don't ask me for the answer , coz I duno, but it rings very distant bells in me poor old brain
  12. LOL yeah , you are right , time to move on, the way I see it (from the UK and ADSL) so that kinda rules me out , Rogers is willing to investigate ( you were very polite with your mail , I swore at level 1 support ) will this call out cost money ? you have given them the proof of the poor speeds , can you put another puter on lime to check for speed v spyware etc. the UK techie was able to give me some tests to do, and check the results without comming out , and we resolved the problem at no cost to me , (telco)
  13. Hi philp, you are so right on that, in the UK we have the same problem with the IRA , the only answer IMHO is to negotiate, I have sympathy with them by my decent , but not their tactics , killing children only brings lifetime and beyond hate , hey, whats IHOP ,
  14. Hi aznhakkaboi, look on the bright side if you kill him , you may get a good cable connection in jail , yeah that wasn't funny, and I feel your pain, my ISP kept tellimg me I had a Trojan , although I was putting my spare puter up, with a fresh install, but they did listen to my Testmy. net results,I finally got through to a snr. Techie , who listened and checked the results,
  15. your neigbour home ? if so save the tests and call rogers ?
  16. Hi Tommie, Terror has no ultimate pay off, it's only a tactic to achive a higher gain,
  17. Hi aznhakkaboi wellcome to the forum I am from the UK and don't have cable (adsl) so all I can say on this is , I had a problem when my download droped to dial up speeds (56Kb ) and my ISP were slow to show any interest in the problem , I did a lot of tests on TMN and saved them, and they excepted that I had a problem ,(it was a Telco fault ) just thought this may help your decision , Regards Roco UK
  18. There ain't nothing wrong with those sentiments Tdawnaz , WAR, tell me what is it good for, absolutely nothing , springs to mind, this isn't a religious war, it is a war on, I want , I want your lifestyle , your oil, your land, your food, your power , History never changes My father fought the war to end all wars , so he was told , he survived , but a lot of my class mates at school lost their Dads , and G.B. was a bleak place for many years after , we lost 67000 women and children , Russia lost 10,700,000 women and children , So I guess we are a bit antiwar in the UK , but if anyone kicks us in the crutch , we will still fight back , maybe with a little help from our friends across the pond, thanks (especially for the desert boots , I was told to add that by a Mil.friend, , he said Tstillery would know ) 9/11 changed my life, and I guess many other peoples, I was working for a charity that housed the elderly, one of the residents called me to her flat, and said look at that, the first plane had struck , I said it is a trailer to a film , then the 2nd struck, I left and went back to the maintenance centre and turned on the TV , I think the word stunned sums it up , in burst my boss and said WTF are you doing , I said watching the world change, so F**k off, He did, I just wanted to be alone , for me it was the sadest day I have ever lived through, maybe not having religion made it worse, yeah I am a Pagan, but can still cry at the suffering of the world and it's people , Roco UK P.S if you are wondering where I stand look at my avatar
  19. Thanks Reso..... was it also known as H.M.A,? I was under the impression that Hanomag was a East German branch of Volkswagen ? I got some news of F1 rule changes, looks like I cant enter a 2CV team unless I take the inertia dampers off " What F1 has learned from the Citroen 2CV and why the FIA has to stop it Ferrari and Renault have been informed in recent days that they have to change their front damping systems because they have moving parts inside the dampers and these are banned under Article 3.15 of the FIA Formula 1 Technical Regulations for 2006. The concept was first used in the the Citroen 2CV in the late 1940s and was designed to reduce wheel patter, vertical oscillation of the wheels caused by the tyres. More recently, however, the same basic concept has been used in architectural design to reduce resonance created by wind or earthquakes."

  23. Hi bookabooka from the UK a special wellcome to the forum , as we are a bit out numbered at the moment , laptop upgrading is not worth the effort and cost IMHO are you running Xp home ? don't think of overclocking as battery life and temperature will be a big problem, you seem very short of ram memory( 33.4MB free ) 512Mb is nice for Xp , have a look on http://www.crucial.com/uk/?gclid=CPO0qfDkpYcCFT0MQgodvljk7w free del . normally next day if you order AM, SVCHOST.EXE is a essential part of windows , so don't try and remove it . I have 5 running , what antivirus and firewall are you running, as Norton and zone alarm will bring most laptops to a near stand still for a laptop I would suggest ,AVG free and Sygate 5.5 Regards Roco UK
