Hi Starship trooper , I have a old 750 MHz Dell insp. which I use on the road , and a couple of flash memory pens, do you relay need a DVD recorder ? I have upgraded the bat. and get about 3.1/2 hours run time, it has a partitioned hard drive , with a shadow copy on the 2nd partion, I use it to help people to get back on line and check out programs etc , when it goes tits up, I just recover back to the shadow copy , and start again, LOL , It works for me so don't laugh , I think you need to think what the laptop is realy going to be used for, do you really want to spend serious money on it , personally I have more pressing needs, and would rather upgrade my desktop, But I guess that is your call , the acer sounds good to me, but what do I know P.s wellcome from Roco UK

I think this is a old Clip, BT used to sub contract out is sales service, and the contractor got paid by result , so you would get a call every 2 weeks , and most customers responded in the same way , but the salesperson had the last laugh , the would change all your discounted numbers , and put call waiting on the line , you didn't know that had happened until you got your quarterly bill and all the yakking you had done on the phone was at full price The funniest one I got ( on reflection) was having just been made redundant along with all my co workers , I arrived home to get a call saying " Is that Mr. Roco" , Yes speaking , "Well Mr. Roco it's your lucky day " :angry5: .

Getting older is just like your computer , you wish you had more memory , earlier this evening I took a beautiful woman out for a meal, later we sat on the terrace with a glass of wine , with a wonderfull view of the sunset over the river Thames , she kept rubbing my leg with her foot, Finally she said shall we go, so we did, I took her back to her place , it was only after I got home that I remembered what should have come next , I thought she looked surprised when I said goodnight on her doorstep you can laugh but this is but it's true,
