(as i said only mild gaming...) is that a good enough card, without having to upgrade in a year or so? or would it be best to get something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143071 thanks, starship edit/.. ok this is what i have down. tell me what you think. 10. Swimmer, when you said this...the only power supply i can find that is more than $40 is this one here but one that is less than 40 and 24 pin (compatible with the mobo picked) is this one so would that 500 watt work...because i dont want to have to spend that much for the other one...
  11. A friend of mine sent me a link with a mobo from newegg right here and asked me to find a case, psu, and cpu for cheap. mainly mild gaming (cs, day of defeat and maybe guild wars...nothing fancy) and stuff like video editing and then email, and internet. but wanting almost the same specs i did (my thread about the xps was where he got the idea...) but amd and compatable with the mobo he picked...so here is what i picked...tell me what you think...keep in mind this is basically budget stuff....but for mild gaming. ps. also need help finding a good power supply for him. parts so far are this. CASE MOBO CPU this good so far? thanks in advance. also, what would be a good way to cut down heat...or is the included in the cpu and case good enough?
  12. yeah i love the download...and i had to shut down and clean the tech lab (unplug keyboards, mice, monitors, etc and put stuff away) before i could test the upload.

  14. true but i dont like ATI as much. well the rush processing and standard shipping means that its only like an extra 3 dollars
  15. i bet by the time i order this (probly in Feb.) the graphics card will go down as well. i just thought of that...but i know that this card will still be very nice so im not worried.
  16. i've bought 1gig of ram and a dvd burner drive from newegg before havent ever had problems with them and they came in 2-3 days. lol nice...i live in southeast kansas....so it takes the full 3 days and i usually pick rush shipping which they refund if they dont send out at least part of my order next business day.
  17. yep. and with shipping (i havent included tax yet if newegg charges tax) its a total of $1680
  18. thanks, what about this harddrive right here i dont need to pay 100 for a harddrive since im not going to ever use 300gb.
  19. i didn't wow. i thought those were just links to like a few parts not all. i didnt see the power supply and the mobo link. thats what i wanted really when i posted after you. should have read your whole post completely thanks, i might change out soomething but will probly post info if i do to see if its worth it compared to your system how about this ram right here
  20. what parts would anyone of you guys use to build a good pc for gaming and video editing....at least 2ghz processor...would actually prefer at least 2.4 but not needed as long as its above 2...and good graphics with at least 256mb. and 2gigs of ram. then the usual. 10/100ethernet card, like 4 usb, and dvd burner dual layer drive. i cant seem to find a good mobo and cpu combo.
  21. lol i could always have my uncle help me if ichose to build one ...i can build it unless its from scratch...for some reason the power supply cables.... i always forget which goes into which...and the fear since its only my second pc taht i would fry it or something
