  3. hi, i have been wanting to convert wmv files to a format that will play in my dvd player. i cant seem to find one that doesnt cost money to use just once. i can find ones that have like 50% conversion trials and 1 minute conversion trials. if a program only has like a 10 day trial or something thats fine as long as i can convert all my videos. the longest being like 20 minutes i think. but i have lots of videos (a 1 gig folder with like 4mb videos) i want to put on dvds and watch in my dvd player. any suggestions on a program? thanks, starship troopers

  16. if msn dropps for me i just click troubleshoot and have it go through the scan to see if ports are and stuff then click repair...it works after that.........most of the time

  19. can you supply me with a link or answer to a card i can run? i've been on newegg.com and i cant seem to find a decent card that runs under a 300W power supply. also i would like a pci not pci Express if you have any ideas. i have found one that i like. and i am going to go ahead with it. thanks for all your help dlewis23. thanks, starship troopers
  20. if a card says requirements for a power supply are 350W and i have a 250W...i know thats way below but would it still run or not?
  21. ok i'm ordering RAM and graphics card sometime this week but before i do i was hoping to get a confirmation that my dell dimension 4500S (yes its a 4500S not 4500 ...i've been asked that before just to make sure so its not a typo ) will be able to use the PCI express card that dlewis (i beleive it was dlewis23) supplied me the link to. also i was told that i needed to watch out because my current crt monitor only has a max resolution of 1280x1024 and the card has one of 2048 by something. i was told tht could be bad on the monitor. but i'd keep the resolution around 1024x768 . sorry for the "bringing back" of this thread. but i was curious thanks, starship troopers
  22. i'll use it w/ firefox when vista comes out ...not beta...i mean teh full version. and to get that i'm gonna wait a little after it gets released. but yeah then i'll use it but i dont want to use it now. right now im fine with firefox
