i know how to build pc's but building one from scratch from pars on the the net is something i've never tried and i didnt want to mess something up so i was looking at a prebuilt system

i will be a huge step up either way because of my current desktop system. and my laptop isnt for gaming so im fine with the specs on that.

oh. cool good price. since it has most of the same features as i wanted in the xps

wow i must have clicked the one gig by mistake. lol yeah i wanted 2 gigs at least for performance. since it was cheap compared to most other parts of the system.

yes. and i got normal speeds. i can't seem to figure out what is wrong with my router settings though to make my speeds so slow through it.

i went to the ip for my router. and re did some settings. here is a speed test now :::.. it was the modem. then after i called them and they "fixed" it i couldnt get it past my router. when i tried to log into windows live messenger it said it failed on the DNS and the key ports. but now that i got that fixed by calling them again, its my speed that is suffering. everything else works fine....now....except the speeds being so low

well i was at school and it was storming so someone (dont know for sure who did it) unplugged everything to my pc and i have a new router so im not sure if that was teh point where it messed up from being unplugged for about a half hour. and to get it working i called cableone again and they reset my modem. and i am about to log in wirelessly and check my laptop's wireless speed. but yeah. thats what happened. lol sorry i forgot to include this in my original post. thanks for the quick reply

i have cableone 3mbps service and i spent like a hour and a half fixing a problem because it wouldn't even connect. and cableone said it was my fault not theirs...but i got connected and i just did a speed test and this is what i get now on a 3mbps package :::.. i just bought and set up a wireless router for my laptop and the max speed i get is only half of what i should be getting....on on the 3mbps dowload package for cableone....here is a speed test result from just a moment ago. :::.. imm on my desktop now but sure, i went to preferences under file, then went to the fonts section and added the path "C:WindowsFonts" and restarted gimp and every font that was in the windows fonts folder was available to me in gimp.

hi, i downloaded the font "resident evil" and "blade 2" from www.dafont.com and a few other fonts....all the other fonts work fine, but resident evil and blade 2 fonts wont show up. any ideas how to make them work? i extracted them to C:WindowsFonts edit..... ok i have fixed it as best i could. i had to create a new pathway for gimp to look for fonts. sorry, i guess mods can delete this if necessary, starship troopers
