i've been using Slackware Linux for about 7 months now, and love it. I like the cfdisk option on Slackware 10 for setting up, and making partitions it's more user friendly than plain old fdisk which is still an option if you so wish. Plus you get LILO as the boot manager with Slackware incase you want to run Duel Boot systems. Slackware Linux rocks in my book, and i've used SUSE Linux, Red Hat Linux, and Fedora Linux Core 2, and 3. Thats my two cents anywho

actually i just singed up for vonage broadband phone service about 3 hours ago ehhh!!!! I liked the fact i live in Ohio, and i can have my vonage phone number located in California or anywhere in the US that rocks LOL. Basicly i will use the service often. Also being able to show up on caller id's showing a Cali area will be fun. Mess with peoples heads. I Guess i got the service just as a toy.

When t1, and over axious people meet. ehhh!! i know people want to be the one to have the fastest most elite speed, but i have noticed alot of people jumping the gun as of late with these large speeds that are nothing more than cached tests

Personally i use the D-Link DI-624 802.11g & b compatiable wireless router never had any issues with it, and it works quite well.

I play alot of Command & Conquer Generals (Zero Hour) Online. I like this game alot.

yes they were indeed, but this isn't the first time i've had issues last package i got via fedex i got it alright, but accordinng to the online tracking it was still in Texas. They do not update it quickly enough to serve it's true purpose which is to keep customers informed of the package location.

Glad you have luck with them. I sure Don't. There online tracking system sucks though no way around that it is so slow to update is ridiculous.

I was waiting patiently for my desktop from gateway today.... well i get the thing, but just the d@%$ Computer No Monitor It's Stuck somewhere in FedEx Hell. Seriously according to the online tracking system the monitor hasn't moved in 4 f@%$ing days I sware I never have these issues with UPS only FedCrap!!!!!! Anyone else have issues with FedEx

I know i'd die without my laptops ehh. I'm a Systems admin for AT&T cell phone/communications division, and a laptop is a must. Although in response to my own post about being in the market for a desktop thats no longer true I just ordered me a sweet Desktop from gateway should get it on the 21st very happy about that.

What do you prefer or use more laptop? or Desktop? I own several Laptops couldn't live without them, but i am currently in the market for a desktop.

I'm thinking about buying a few of these because at this price why the hell not LOL. I figure i can get them, and upgrade them with some more memory, and some dvd or cd burners pretty cheap, and have some half way decent machines for cheap. Only down side is the Celeron Processors, and the Intergrated graphics, but again for $299.00 come on.

I'm near the Columbus Ohio area, and Columbus is a pretty big city, and we don't have FIOS available yet here either.
