  1. Ok if i was doing it i would create the MX record mail.yourdomain.com first with a priority of 10 since it is you primary/only mail server. Then add an A Record for the MX record also so goto your A records and associate your ip with mail.yourdomain.com.
  2. Yes Multiple MX Records for the same IP is a mistake all you need is a single MX record then add an A Record For the MX Record Also.
  3. Also do you have atleast a priority of 10 set for your MX record?
  4. You could have Duplicate MX records which would be confusing for the mail server, and cause the mail not to be delivered or worse. If you only have one ip address than one MX record is all you can have. I have 32 ips on my box so i have 3 mx records which is wise incase one goes down mail will still get through.
  5. I also use Outlook Express with no issues. It's not outlook express it's the users of it. Outlook Express can be made just as secure as any other Mail Program.
  6. Dos ehh? So you admit you participate in an activity that is illegal? I'm not knocking you because you do it, but because you admit to it in an open forum. I'm good friends with some people who love to DDos some of which have over 200,000 bots/ drones, and could bring most things online to their knees. I just don't know how wise it is to admit you do it in an open forum. Me myself i think DOS or DDOS is childish, and i know it's looked down upon in the TRUE hacker community.
  7. I run my own DNS server on my box i use BIND. I don't know what you are using for your DNS or if you even have alot of control over it like you do when you run your own DNS server. If you are running your own DNS on your box did you apply your changes? Also make sure your NS records, A records are correct plus you must have an A records for each MX record you setup or you may never recieve mail.
  8. Also i didn't mention this as i thought it was common sense, but you should always backup any configuration file before you edit it/them so if you make a mistake it's easy to get back to where you started.
  9. Well port 25 or smtp is just that a port. It's what the mail server would use to conduct it's business ofcourse, but unless you are running virtual servers within a physical server i don't see how you have two port 25's open. Please explain a bit further prehaps i missed something.
  10. Also make sure your mail server is closed to every type of relaying possible or you will end up blacklisted or worse. Spammers love those people who don't secure their mail servers
  11. Not sure about windows, but i use debian linux, and sendmail for my mail server, and by default sendmail is set to only allow you to recieve mail locally while you can still send out to anyone you can only recieve locally. You have to tell the mail server to use port 25 for send or recieve or whatever, and not just locally. example for sendmail Port=smtp,Name=MTA. I'm sure this is about the same for whatever mail server you use. check the configs, and see where you need to edit.
  12. I don't get it either i can understand gmail giving a couple of GIGS for free, and they have the $$$ to do it, but 30 GIGS? That's a shit load of free space if they can afford to do it cool, but damn seems a bit much for free to me.
  13. i have 5 gmail accounts, and each account has 100 invites ehhhh.
  14. CopperNet is also a very good dial-up ISP they have won the cnet award many times, and also the first 3 months is only $1 a month. Then it's only $9.95 after that. For a $1 a month what do you have to lose? http://www.copper.net/
  15. The Content Management system he is using looks like mambo.
  16. I really should not have said St.Nicholas was a myth because there was such a man. http://www.stnicholascenter.org/Brix?pageID=38
  17. Once you learn to make a webpage, and all that good stuff come to me, and i'll set you up some free space on one of my dedicated boxes. Hell i'll give you 300 MB DISK Quota, and atleast 10 GB of bandwidth/month that should be plenty for a starter.
  18. When they say 2-4 hours what they really mean, but don't say usually is this 4 hours doing basic computing such as email, and internet. Even then your only likely to get 2, and a half 3 hours tops, 2 hours if you are doing intense things like playing cd's video editing ect even then don't expect much. battery life has always been a real issue when it comes to laptops.
  19. I use Nextel/Sprint same people now. The service where i live is great no problems at all. I use a nextel phone ofcourse ehhh.
  20. LOL Yes Santa is a myth ofcourse, but if he were real those calculations mean nothing. It's called magic something the scientific world has trouble with. It's like trying to put limitations on GOD. The creator can't be subject to the same laws and principles of his creation or he is not GOD. He has to be above them. Anyway Santa did all this with magic he was not bound by the rules of this earth. ON another note i know Santa is a myth, but i do believe in GOD 100%. Good Day!
  21. 87 Mbps ehhh yeah right if that was a real test he would be somewhere between an OC-1 and an OC-3. When it comes to could someone have thay type of connection in their home if you have enough money sure you could. Money talks, and will get you damn near anything you want. OC-1 = 51.85
  22. You might be surprized when i tell you looks can be deceiving this thing is not fragile atleast from my fews hours of having messed with it very sturdy, and solid from what i have seen so far.
  23. It's normally $249.00 (4GB model), but i had a $100.00 gift card to add towards it so i payed $149.00 + tax. They have to modles the 2 GB (512 songs), and the 4 GB (1,000 songs). They come in black, and white colors.
  24. i got the 4 GB one. It's the black one also.
  25. I just got my IPOD NANO this morning via fedex, and i must say this thing is sweet. I can't believe how small it really is, it's quite the little mp3 player.
