Yeah i think we got quite a few people bullsh*tting us here. All the sudden the whole world has 20 Mbps connections, and higher (BS). Alot of people hitting the back button is what i think.

both computers can be on the internet at the same time with a CrossOver cable also. Internet Connection Sharing will do the trick. Each computer is issued a local ip with just a simple CrossOver cable as well.

If you just want to link two computers together the easiest way would be using a CrossOver cable. It's not a hard task to do. If you need help just ask or even easier (Google It). Ehhhh

Well i really had no doubt ehhhhh

On one of my dedicated boxes i was getting brute force attacks on port 22 on my ssh server. I monitored the attacks for a few days as i have Access Control enabled for my ssh server so only the shell users i define can login anyway. I even went as far as restricting shell logins to a signle ip on my box instead of allowing shell logins on all ips. Thus far my added measures have stoped the attacks dead. My real question is for the other g33ks here that own dedicated boxes have you noticed or ever had any ssh brute force attacks. Do any of you even check your logs? Just anxious to see how wide an issue this might be.

i don't care for any type of chat unless it's IRC. I think imo IRC is best for real time accurate chat.

Well i've had my dedicated box with ServerPronto 3 weeks or so now, and i am happy to say i am very pleased with them. I've finally got things setup the way i need, and am very comfortable with it. Their service is 2nd to none in my opinion at this point. Only problem i had was when i first got the box, they were upgrading some switching, and i had connectivity issues for about a day. I'm already hosting a few websites for some local businesses at this time soon to be pulling in 100 or so extra bucks a week just starting out.

I'm going nucking futz here i'm running PHP Version 4.3.10-15 mod_php4 for apache, and i installed it wo work with mysql. phpinfo(); even confims this, but for some damn reason i am stuck with messages like this when trying to install anything related to mysql (The installer was unable to detect MySQL support in PHP. Please ask your host to ensure that PHP was compiled with MySQL, or that the proper extension is being loaded.) Any Help you good people can offer is apperciated.
