  1. (two or more of the above names) is an option those who have a dell ibm or gateway apple ect ect would choose. So if you have Compaq, Dell, and Apple you would Choose two or more of the above names. Think that makes sense.
  2. Just curious to see what everyone owns.
  3. I Play Command & ConQuer Generals (Zero Hour) Alot on PC. I also Play Halo 2 alot on XBOX Live. Other than that most games i play are at home with friends or at friends homes with just us palying.
  4. Your upload needs more than help it needs an overhual. Aren't you suppose to be getting 2 mbps upstream?
  5. M$ can't stand it when someone has something they don't so they create it. How funny is it the google does google earth now MSN does this? I'd say it's not an accident.
  6. I've said it before, and i'll say it again (XBOX 360) will dominate, but ehhh only time will tell.
  7. Each Time a Space Shuttle is launched i am awe struck. It's just simply amazing each time what else can you say. ehhhh!!!!
  8. Yup i'd say congratulations are in order for a job well done!! Those stats are mega Steller.
  9. You could do something like this. It's not perfect, but it is hosted on your server or web account. Only draw back is it cost $$ http://bandwidthplace.com//speedtest/ultra/
  10. 1024x768 is what i am use to ehhh. I've used it so long it feels strange if i change the Resolution to something else.
  11. Glad to see all is well, and this place is back up, and running. I've had a few problems with corrupt SQL DB's in the past as well sometimes it does not go as smooth as we would wish it to. Glad it all did this time for you though.
  12. i would not put my faith in that at all unless they are absolutely giving you a garuntee, and i doubt they are they'd be foolish to do such as then they would be liable if anything happens to you.
  13. I've used TOR in the past, but the speed reduction was more than i could bare. The thing with those services is the speed reduction sure they are free, but slowwwww. Good Luck
  14. Nothing is flawless, and or perfect, but as it stands right now IE has many more vulns than FireFox. Will that change? Sure it will. Hackers and crackers always go where the people are, and attack the most used software. Rest assured exploits have already been written for FireFox, and will continue to be written for it. I'm curious to see what happens when IE 7 is released myself.
  15. Very Intresting Read.... Thanks for the link. I'm not a huge windows fan, but i'll probably buy vista just to stay current when it's released.
  16. For Windows I'd say ZoneAlarm Pro for the firewall, and Norton Anti Virus. Norton in my opinion does not do alot of things well, but they do have steller AV IMO. As for your port scan you shouldn't always be alarmed sometimes if you are on certain websites that require certain ports to be open for a transaction or service to be fullfilled the server may port scan you to see if you are good to go so to speak. I'm not saying to ignore it , but get familiar with all the ports, and services that go with those ports so you can judge when it's an intrusion attempt, and when it's not.
  17. If you want to hide your IP address for everything you do online http://findnot.com is what you want it will absolutely keep you anonymous for everthing you do online file transfers, IRC, FTP logins web surfing ect ect, and it's secure much more secure than using a rouge proxy which could be a honeypot setup by the government or a hackerpot setup by hackers to get ip's to hack at a later date. for 7 bucks a month findnot is well worth it if hiding your true ip, and data from others is important to you.
  18. There are places that let you use there VPN Service to tunnel for a small price. http://findnot.com/ or you can use an untrusted proxy ect. I myself use findnot quite often when i am doing certain things. Good Luck!!!
  19. I use Konqueror when i use linux, and i still use IE more then FireFox on windows, and i have a feeling when IE 7 is released

  22. Windows is not optimized for broadband, and to achive your full advertised speed some tweaking of the TCPRecieve window will be needed atleast. So go ahead, and just do some tweaking ehhh. If you need assistance myself or someone here would gladly help you.
  23. uncap your connection speed? improving your connection so you can achive an advertised package is one thing trying to uncap a limit set by your isp is illegal, and probably not something 99.9% of even experienced people can do.
  24. I've always just assumed major populated areas would be the first target for major rollout of FIOS, and even saying that it would still take much time to roll it out in just the major populated areas. I've always just was under the impression FIOS would be years in tha making to get it fully deployed throught the US. Those who got it right now just happen to be lucky enough to live where it's being tested, and available.
  25. where is your dedicated box hosted at? Just Curious
