When doing a download test is there a way to get around powerboost so I can get my true download speed?

There are a lot of good heatsink & fan out there. I use a Zalman CNPS7700-CU to keep my 3700+ cool, I am not sure if it will fit your AM2 CPU. Also I use a Arctic Cooling Cpu fan & heatsink on a old P4 computer I have works good & it's quiet. If you are into overclocking the Tuniq tower / the Scythe Ninga or Infinity / Zalman CNPS9700 are real good. The only trouble with them is their size,They are real big and do not fit into some cases. My X2 4400+ in my sig is watercool using a Danger Den RDX water block. I use Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste.

Avast does have a free version. www.avast.com/ I use AVG never had a problem with it.

I read somewhere that putting the HD in the freezer might get you one try at getting the data off the drive. Never try it myself, but it might be worth a try.

I was going to get one,but I do not know enough to make it worth getting. I would get lost playing with all the ram option.

That the way it goes sometime.Some motherboard overclock better than other ones. My 3700+ got up to 2.8 on my ASUS motherboard,but when I put it in my Gigabyte motherboard I can only get it to go up to 2.5. Asus offers more overclocking option in the BIOS. If you really want to get into overclocking option then you want a DFI motherboard,from what a read they have the most overclocking option in the BIOS.

He still might be able to overclock one of his computer if he feel like spending some money.All I had to on my old HP 753n was change the motherboard. I use a Gigabyte GA-81G1000[Rev2.0] motherboard.

gotmilk When I google ECS N1 Extreme the first search is a review from X-bit Labs from 2 years ago.They talk about overclocking your board using the BIOS. They still got the highest overclock on your board by using ClockGen. You should read the review ,it should help you get a higher overclock.

Tuniq Tower 120 seem to be another hot CPU heatsink/fan with the overclocking crowd it $59.99 US ,but a lot of people like it. It another huge heatsink/fan that you are going to have to make sure it fit in your case.

For that price you can get a 40" to 46" LCD. The only problem with rear projection is that the bulb will burn out. They can be replace,but they are not cheap[200.00 or more] I also read that the DLP rear projection tv are having a problem with what they call the rainbow effect. Some people can see it,some people do not. rainbow effect A visual artifact that occurs in single-chip DLP displays, caused by the fact that the single DLP chip uses a color wheel to create red, green, and blue, and hence all colors. Occurs primarily when the eye looks across the screen or when adjacent areas of very dark and very light material move quickly. The occurrence of these rainbows has been significantly reduced with the advent of newer, faster color wheels, and most people who watch a DLP never see rainbows at all--and the few who do, usually see them only occasionally.

What firewall are you using.[McAfee too] I have had trouble with some firewalls in the past. Try turning off your firewall & anti-virus and do a test. Remember to turn them back on when you are done.

I don't much about servers,but if I were you I would do my best to get it off my web site,server or at least find out who download it.

I forgot about that one. I used one of them on my mom Intel p4 computer, works great and is quiet.
