  2. great, now the MTU is where it suppose to be but speed could be better, congestion seems to be a problem, so you could try lower the RWIN a bit. try this, open cablenut change TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize to 128480 click save to registry and reboot now test speed again against Swizz and testmy.net also test speed against my mirror http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=mirror-VanBuren&out_src=20MB VanBuren

  8. Make sure to set MTU to 1500 for all adapters, and reboot your PC after that... the cablenut settings i gave you, is made for a 1500 MTU, but your router or NIC adapter is forced to 1496 VanBuren
  9. the MTU is off, since your on PPPoA the MTU should be 1500 read the manual for your router/modem and see if you can set MTU manually to 1500 you show packetloss here 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 * 43 ms * framed-user-32.62.151.30.ya.com [62.151.30.32] thats between your modem/router and CO. If you use a phone extension wire, try replace it or bypass it and connect modem/router direct to your house main phone socket. VanBuren
  10. it seems like its a "timeout" issue, since i tested with netlimiter and get your errors if i cap my uploadspeed below 0.6 Mbps upstream. Since i dont have control over the server, it might be a solution with smaller testfiles and change in rates for Smarttest. But i know CA3LE is very busy atm, so this have to wait. VanBuren
  11. try this file, its from version 9 of my tweakfiles. also test speed here http://cemp1.switch.ch/network/performance/web100/tcpbw100.html make a tracert against that site aswell VanBuren

I never got a error VanBuren
  13. works for me aswell, server might been offline or busy atm you tested, try again and also test diffrent testsizes, the 2992KB is hosted on testmy.net main server, since my mirror dosent allow upload testfiles above 2048 kB VanBuren
  14. i assume hop 2 is your modem, and the first a router try bypass your router and connect your PC direct to modem, also powercycle modem, leave it off for atleast 2 minutes. 1 * * * Request timed out. 2 10 ms 11 ms * ip68-103-166-1.ks.ok.Cox.net [68.103.166.1] now make a new speedtest and a tracert. Edit: if you dont have a router, then hop 1 is your modem, if so, check the wires and powercycle, if that dosent help call your ISP, cos then the problem is between your modem and Cox gateway. VanBuren
  15. make a traceroute start-run-cmd tracert testmy.net and hit enter rightclick choose all and hit enter, paste all in a new post VanBuren

  22. I use cachemanXP even tho i have 2GB of RAM, it tweaks alot of other settings beside recover RAM, the recover RAM has never been activated on my system yet hehe It dosent give the same result on this system as the old PC with 512MB of RAM, but it does help. VanBuren

  24. thats dern good overseas strange that some of you get errors, it must have been a temporary server issue, cos i test it several times a day and never had a problem, beside one time i scored low, i think server was busy at the moment. :::..
