  1. i made a file for you download this attached file (Cable & DSL 256 64.zip) and unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut now open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks so all fields is blank, click save to registry now go to top left corner, click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubbleclick on Cable & DSL 256 64.ccs now you see alot of values in adjuster, click save to registry again now reboot your pc and make a new speed test VanBuren

  5. that was odd a node usally block pings or not i can ping it so its not blocked in the node it might be your ISP blocking it, how is your speed? VanBuren
  6. no problem you could try this ping -n 100 12.119.136.14 and copy result and paste it here, lets see if you loose packets on that node VanBuren

  10. by default Norton have "Automatic Program control" enabled, turn that off and delete all program specifyed rules, now Norton will ask you for each connection to your pc btw, no firewall is 100% secure, the most holes in Firewall is made by the user, poor configged program rules VanBuren
  11. open cablenut, and click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry now reboot, also power cycle your modem for 30 seconds when using router, set your NIC to 100 Mbps full duplex wait for the tech to check your connection, and when they fixed it post again and we make it even faster VanBuren

  13. I use Norton Internet Security 2005, works great for me, very easy to use it take some more resources then the average firewall and antivirus programs, but has alot of good features VanBuren
  14. yea it should be faster, but over the internet, it will be most important how the drivers work with the NIC VanBuren

  16. what is weird? thats your faster on a dslr server? thats very normal! it depends on alot of things, number of hops, latency, server TCP settings, your TCP settings, Traffic VanBuren
  17. seperate Kbps and KB/s you get 8 KB/s and thats 8 x 8,192 = 65,5 Kbps on a 40 Kbps cap thats 64 % above your cap be happy VanBuren
  18. the speed was cut in half beqause you was using windows default settings, if you run NIC in 10 Mbps you get a RWIN of 17520 and if you run it in 100 Mbps you get 64240 i suggest to stay with 10 Mbps at your NIC, and load the cablenut tweakfile, click save to registry and reboot VanBuren
