  7. your NIC communicate better with the router when using full duplex, that helps your speed on the internet if you using 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps or 1000 mbps dosent change your internet speed, but it change the speed on your LAN, you dont want to transfer files on your LAN in 10 Mbps speed when you can use 100 Mbps VanBuren

  11. the most important is to not use USB 10 Mbps is fine, i use 10 Mbps full duplex on my fiber optic connection and pull 9,2 Mbps overseas, so it wont help using 100 or 1000 but if you use a router, you want to run the LAN at your house with 100 Mbps or 1000 Mbps and the router handle the half duplex to modem on its WAN port, so even if your using full duplex at your NIC, the router will use half duplex against your modem. 12. when using router ALWAYS, force your NIC to 100 Mbps full duplex EDIT: also update to latest firmware also you can try to finetune TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize i suggest to try change them from 64240 to 128480 and set Tcp1323Opts to 1 if that didnt help just reload the file i attached before VanBuren

  16. have you forced your NIC to 100 Mbps full duplex? If so, only use it when your connecting to your router when connecting direct to your modem, use 10 Mbps half duplex VanBuren
