Tdawnaz: It wasn't the question you said to ask, it was the 'hey ur hot' that would potentially trigger the need for a cup. Is that kind of question respectful? I don't think so..... just me though....... I suppose it depends on the woman you're approaching too. Still, best to wear it with that type of opening if you don't know her, just in case. BTW: Betty, probably todays version of chick......

Here's a pretty good resource for vpn information and free software. http://vpnlabs.org/

As a guy, I wouldn't recommend what Tdwanaz is suggesting. If you do take her advice, wear a cup......

Sounds like a sasser variant to me. Heres a link to info on it. http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_125008.htm#Symptoms download and use this to scan and clean it out: http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/s-t-i-n-g-e-r.exe If that doesn't work there is a manual workaround on the first link above. Sasser is a pain in the butt but I've removed it from a couple of systems. If you want, watch the processes under ctrl+alt+delete then processes tab. If you end the random numbered processes, more will appear. avserve2.exe is the primary process, but the random processes also will restart avserve2.exe. If you're quick enough, you can stop the shut down process. Some systems boot, then auto shutdown within 30 seconds or so of the bootup. EDIT: This is what I had to do with one system that needed cleaning...........

Yes, that my dog...... Glad you figured out the internal power error. I just wish ms could get it a little more precise on what bus, etc. could be causing hardware problems. -
Glad you got it figured out!

What Anti-Virus Program are you running now? (Extreme Poll)
cak46 replied to organ_shifter's topic in General Discussion
Looks like avg is the most popular thus far..... 43.8% of respondents. Never used kaspersky, never had the need to try another system. Left a share exposed to the net and within a matter of 3 minutes, had 2 viruses laid down on it. AVG got 'em, no problem at all. -
sony vaio pcg643l puterr stops seeing hd after bios(bios see's hd)

Sounded like you had taken care of the voltage issue. If the mouse is a usb device, try a different mouse. Hardware issue is most likely causing the voltage problem. Had a keyboard do the exact same thing. Replaced the keyboard, never had the message again (so far). Not sure what op sys the vaio is running, but here is a kb article for win2000 regarding the file you mentioned. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q260233/ Hope this helps. -
good Luck If they come back when you reboot again after scanning in Safe mode,, you should shut off system restore and boot into safe mode again, scanning there. Some files like to hide out in sys restore but I usually shut that off as a last resort.

I see that the sdkny.exe entries are still there. Also, there is an atllin.exe entry that might be suspect as well. Did CWSShredder find anything and/or remove anything? If it did, the adware/malware may be re-installing on reboot so try rebooting and run your scans, including cws shredder from safe mode. I would suggest ad-aware from lavasoft www.lavasoft.de and spybot-search and destroy. Make sure to have updated definitions prior to scanning.
-
Yeah, it only scans for the different versions of cool web search.

Welcome to the forum d3mo. Looks like you may have coolwebsearch. Could be the source of your problems. the sdkny.exe RPC program. Need to download and run cwsShredder at: http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder.html. Let us know if this helps.

Well, we've all seen what happens when FF becomes out of control and takes over a young persons life..... It's tragic....... Maybe if it's legalized, it can be controlled better.............. :haha:

Thanks for the info. Must be getting old. Did not realize there were Analyzers out ther. Thanks again!

Cholla: Here's one definition I've found for the term. http://www.answers.com/topic/gateway-drug It even mentions Firefox...... but then again, FF can be kinda addictive. I think it should be legalized for medicinal use or persons of drinking age with the caveat that drug testing be a requirement for more types of employment, further than what is done at this point in time. Don't want the bus driver stokin' up with 20 or 30 people on board. BTW: Gave up smokin' it a long time ago. Philip: Most definatly, I agree with you about the money involved. But guess what, the tobacco companies already have trademarks for their mj cigs. when it is legalized. Philip Morris has a Marley Brand.......See link: http://www.hightimes.com/ht/grow/content.php?bid=244&aid=4 (about halfway down the page.....) More money, more power...........

Yeah, I agree in principal, but one could argue validly that an increase in robbery, theft and murder could occur due to the need to have money to buy more drugs. Not so much Mary Jane, but other, harder stuff. I think they consider MJ a gateway drug because it has a propensity to lead to harder drugs. I don't necessarily believe this, but I think this is the general belief: of it being a gateway to harder drugs.

Heres a couple of sites for info on a few of the running processes. See your running ad blockers, theis could be why: http://startup.iamnotageek.com/srch-MsgPlus.exe.html Will add more as I find them. If you don't use the msnplus third party options, I'd remove them..... EDIT: For the explorer.exe entry........ http://www.iamnotageek.com/a/explorer.exe.php Looks like a good number of entries involved with messengerplus. Are you running an anti-virus program? Didn't see an entry for it in the log. May want to download Avast or AVG and fully scan your system as it could be a virus slowing you up.

Van is the tweak master. He probably set his own. On the issue of Foxy 84, saw parts of the other thread. Not a bright idea if you're looking for help. Bitin' off the hand that feeds you ain't going to get you anywhere. Maybe foxy will come back humbled, or not at all. Time will tell.

Thnaks jypagan...... Was hoping dell was messing with me any further than they already have....... Stank_Ho: Wouldn't even consider it...... maybe one of Seinfelds "Bro's" would be a good Christmas present?
-
Your a woman??!! My kinda gal! Nice voice too..... kinda sultry for a dell dudess though............
-
LMFAO ROFL :haha: That would get it done, alright!

So, I called Dell to order a new system for one of my staff and they start asking me questions like "What are you going to use the computer for" and "Are you buying it for parts" or to export it? I started questioning her about why she wanted to know this info, and was told the FTC is requiring it under the Patriot Act now. Has anyone else run into this, or was the dell dudess just jerkin' my chain?
