  2. Alright make sure that the cable going into the drive is going the right way.. Like it is in correctly.. and in all the way.. If that doesnt work.. when you have the option to partition the hard drive.. delete everything, create one partition, and use the NTFS normal not quick to format.. My guess is that it is a bad partition on the hard drive itself. That is where most of the pulled errors come from..

Yeah the speeds are not going to be great.. satelite has tons of lag.. and you are on a moving object.. As far as the equipment is would be 802.11b using cisco equipment.. I am sure that other services will use other equipment.. but if you are flying on a plane that is using the Boeing system it is going to be cisco based..
  4. I would go with the LG.. i think it looks better.. and most likely will have a better image.. LG is know for their displays.. If you are going to dump that type of money in.. you might want to check out one of these.. That is 3 screens native resolution 1280 x 1024 per monitor There are different ones in that config.. http://go-l.com/monitors/cinerama/specs/index.htm if you want to spend more Native resolution 1920 x 1200 on a 22 inch panel.. x5
  5. The catch is that it costs $1021 for a boxed processor.. The processor is alright.. I dont want to start the standard AMD vs. Intel fight.. but here is a review form x-bit labs.. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/pentium-840.html here is what they had to say about it..
  6. 1.0.7 Update for firefox has been released..http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=7389 My personal opinion is that both are decent.. I dont use IE because it doesnt have tabs.. pop up windows from hell.. There just seem to be more on IE.. I have tried 7 for a short time on a test machine running vista.. i wasnt all that impressed with the layout for tabs.. but we will see what happens.. Until then I am going to stick with FF..

  17. you would think that.. but i guess hotel like to store more than just a security # on your keycard.. Maybe they are tracking you also.. seeing when you come in late.. if you use the weight rooms.. that kinda stuff.. kinda wierd..

  19. If you are even connected to the internet after a fresh install it take less than 20 to infect a computer.. Try a reinstall.. with out the computer connected to the network.. once you get that done.. get your virus/firewall up and running(MS firewall doenst count).. then connect to the internet.. download the updates disconnect restart, and then download a spyware scanner.. Scan everything.. Then get the windows patches one firewall/virus scan is update..
  20. Why would you want to play with it? If you have the patch it isnt going to work anyways..
  21. alright.. Some things to check.. first make sure that the DHCP is turned off on the Linksys.. and that you a running a ethernet cable from port 1 on the dlink to the WAN port on the Linksys. Next try plugging into an etherent port on the linksys.. see if you are getting the same speed.. If you are then try the wireless.. post the results here.. Then we can try some things one the wireless side..
