that is funny that you say hissing sounds.. there was a shuttle motherboard that had capacitors that would leak.. since they were right next to the cpu the heat would create a hissing sounds when the thing would start to leak..

Yeah i have yet to see any benchmarks.. in fact the 128mb 9800 pros out proform the 256mb version.. so it could be interesting.. this happens because of the lag in the memory itself.. So.. The reason that you would need a card with 512mb would be for advanced pixel shading and if you wanted to have all of the goodies turned up... I guess ATI thinks that there is going to be a game launched that will use more than 256mb for the graphics.. other wise you create a bottle neck..
hmm.. you might want to check your setting..

check that link out.. there a known issues with router!!! Many problems have been confirmed with level 3 tech support.. If you want to know what they are I can post them later.. Most of them have to do with interference.. these should be corrected when the next firmware update is released..

looks pretty sweet... might want to check it out if you are in the market for the latest and greatest..
haha are you trying to access channels that you paid for or are you trying to get channels? If you are trying to get channels then you are out of luck.. If you are trying to reset the password that your parents set to prevent you from view those channels there might be a way around that..
Streaming is something that is based on the server and your connection.. The faster the connection is for the server the less rebuffers you will see.. If the server is in high demand then you are going to see rebuffers... Have you tweaked with Van Burren's guide? If not ask for some help.. your Rwin might be to high.. which would cause rebuffers and skipping.. run this and then post the results.. i will move the topic to the make it faster catigory once you have done this... http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks
The only thing that I could think of would be that since you are on the same connection and playing the same game... the computers are sends and receiving packets to the servers using the same IP address... Then when the server sends info back it doesnt know what computer to send it to.. so packets back up and then everything goes.. I am not sure about the modem problem.. but that might have something to do with it.. while you are gaming try and run a ping test to the router.. if you are having packet loss that might be what it is... That is really wierd..
they are not going to hit you if you go +3-5 gigs.. I get 3 gigs per 24 hours up and down.. and I am downloading all sorts of stuff.. I never get about 2GB.. and I share my connection with my room mate via wireless router.. I wouldnt worry about it.. What they are looking for is a huge jump in bandwidth which is normally associated in server hosting or movie downloading..
