    Auto Proxy?

Yeah.. i am not sure.. i would have to look into it.
  2. My question is what is wrong with dvd?
  3. Well here is the thing... It is against most TOS agreements with the ISPs to offer others your service. So setting up a neighborhood network might not be the best thing. Also speed is going to be an issue. If you have 15 people on that router the speed for each client is going to drop, a lot! Another issue is security.. if someone does something illegal on your connection.. guess who it responsible... My suggestion.. yes it would be cool.. but the management side of the project is just going to be a hassle. You would need to get a dedicate line like T1 or sometime a business class line that allows you to do what ever you wish with it. The other thing is that linksys products are really not meant to be infrastructure devices. They are meant to serve like 5-6 clients... More an you overload the router and speeds drop. If you wanted to do something like that you would be looking in cisco gear or motorla canopy.. Possible.. yea... going to work.. yeah.. risks.. yup.. worth the time... that is up to you
  4. that is the current one it look like.. a boeing 747.. but i guess it was proved fake.. Anyone have a link?
  5. Check this out.. kinda old news.. but it is better for the environment and faster than any oil based diesel that I know of.. 0 to 60 in under 4? O yeah... it was built by high schoolers.. and gets better than 50mpg.. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/02/17/eveningnews/main1329941.shtml enjoy.

    Auto Proxy?

You could set up different profiles in IE.. to use a proxy. Looking now.. maybe setting up two different profiles in XP to handle this.
  7. umm.. that is pretty hard to do if not impossible. It is there for a reason.. to tag the video and give the owner of that file credit. You would have to reverse compile the movie into seperate frames.. then edit each frame by cutting out the "bad" part and inserting what is suppose to be there..
  8. yeah that was what I was thinking.. if they jumped the fence then the Secret Service would have shot them no questions asked..
  9. Yes.. Marc Ecko tagged Air Force One.. Wonder if he got into trouble :haha: http://www.stillfree.com/qt1.html
  10. Continuing the tour series, the last one was of Newegg's shipping dept, here is an very cool virtual tour of Microsoft's development lab for Mac products. Link: http://davidweiss.blogspot.com/2006/04/tour-of-microsofts-mac-lab.html My fav picture: A rack of xServe products.. Great Name..
  11. I use registry mechanic.. I like it a lot.. well worth the price.. As far as the online test.. it depends on who you are testing from.. they are trying to sell you a product.. so there may be false positives.. Check out this for some free stuff.. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-11975
  12. This was dugg yesterday.. so I dont know if these coupons are still active.. but http://www.pcsystemsdirect.com/topdeal.htm take a look if you have the need for a Dell desktop or laptop..
  13. Sounds like a dedicated connection to RR.. I know that Northern Illinois University uses Comcast and they get throttled during the day.. but at night they get crazy fast speeds.. This looks like the case... Notice the test time also.. Either way nice speed!
  14. Yeah.. you are going to need another licence.. You can try calling them.. but I doubt they are going to do much..

  16. Nero toolkit is what I use.. http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ That is the download.. You might be able to burn at 16x.. but my guess is that the media that will yield a good results is going to cost a lot! Plus few burners can burn the entire disk at 16x
  17. so.. there is protection from the box, the cable hub that is shared between house, to keep the modems from blowing? Interesting..
  18. sorry about that.. i am in lab right now.. ok log on to the dlink router.. on the left click DHCP.. using the MAC address set a static IP.. then restart the router and the vonage adaptor.
  19. What type of router do you have? Setting a static ip should solve the problem.. As long as it is related to the internal ip and not the external one.
  20. I personally have never had an issue with lightning.. But I still see power outages.. so I have an APC batter backup for all of my gear.. i get about 20 min which is enough to finish what I am doing and then shut down. thecableguy.. Have you ever recommended to anyone to install one of these.. I know I brought this up back when you first joined.. CAT5 http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/al-cat5w.php (Outdoor) http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/hgln_cat6.php (Indoor) Or coax.. http://www.dxengineering.com/ProductDetail.asp?ID=99&SecID=48&DeptID=19

  24. yeah.. I think that is the correct count right now.. I use them for photoshop... take about 20 seconds for photo shop to load.. cause they are all initialized... but i can do some pretty sweet things...
  25. dont even have to do that.. You can set your router as the DNS Server.. IP address: 192.168.0.xxx for Dlink or 192.168.1.xxx for linksys Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: Router IP addresss ( this is what you type into the web browser to get the config page) Preferred DNS Server: same as Default Gateway.
