  7. Yeah i you can pull an IP from an email header.. then you should be set.
  8. It depends.. what you mean by communicate. AIM communicates with a server not the actual person. Likewise an email client, server not a person... The only way that you would be able to get their IP address is they established a direct connection to your computer.. even there I dont know if you firewall would pick it up as a threat..
  9. there a few things that u can do with an IP address.. you can plot it on a map of the US.. http://www.mapulator.com/ So you have a general idea of where the IP is registered to. Like php said.. you are not going to be able to get who owns it unless it is registered to a website.

  18. There shouldnt be to big of a difference between manufacures.. They are all held to standard to make sure that everything works together. You might have slightly faster results on a different chipset or onboard NIC.. As no two cards are the exact same.

  25. close... I will move this into Make if Faster.. you should be able to get what ever you had before on wired.. and between 80-90% of wired speed one wireless..(depending on setup)
