From my experiance Disk Defragmenter doeant always get 100% of the fragments. I'd say it usually defrags about 98-99% time. File fragmant in real time, so that may expain the 6MB file.

My cap, BTW is 6Mb, so I was close to my cap.

Welcome to the site, LadyLonnie. If I'm not mistaken all files uploaded (e.g.:pics, zip files, etc.) have to have seperate file names. You can't have two files named me.jpg for example. I'm guessing their all uploaded to the same folder, each member doesn't have their own folder. Try naming the file something that's not as popular.

Usually each time you turn on your monitor, it automatically degausses it self. You can tell by the image "shaking" when you turn the monitor on. There also probably is an option for degaussing on the on screen display. Do not degauss more than once every 20 minutes or you could ruin the monitor. Another thing, see if the monitor works well with another computer, or if another monitor also looks distorted on the same computer as the current monitor.

This has been driving me crazy for the last few days. I have this low hissing sound coming from my speakers. I have the Creative Insperation T5400 5.1 sound speakers. I know it's not a sound card/computer related issue, because I can hear the hiss with the speakers disconnected from the computer. Here is what I've tried so far. 've tried turning down the master volume.A wired 'remote' connected to the sub. The sound stays unless the speakers are turned off. All of the speakers connect through the sub. Turning down the speakers only eliminated the "dead radio air" sound. I've also plugged the speaker's power into a seperate outlet. I have also disconnected and reconnected the speakers. There are no EMI sources near by, except for the montior and a few power cords. Yes, the speakers still hiss with the monitor off.

Emachines monitor support. Most montors have onscreen settings or conrtols on the front. Have you tried ajusting any of them?

What is your moinitor brand and Model #? Same with the computer. I'm asking about the computer, because it also could be the graphics card.
