1. You people with FIOS complaing about speed problems. Anyway, speed variances like the ones you are getting are completely normal. There are a number of factors that go into what results you get. Such as your route to the site, the site's current traffic, your computer's and the servers setup, etc. If/when I get FIOS, I wouldn't complain about ~2MB differences, if I had the 15Mb or higher plan.
2. What do you mean by "im on cable and im making it use a I.P."? You have to use whatever ip address they give you.
3. Comcast CEO: Higher Internet Speeds Won't Tie Up System " Roberts told a conference here Tuesday Comcast researchers have studied ways to boost the company's high-speed Internet service to about 200 megabits per second from about four Mbps now. To do that, Comcast would have to tie up about four cable channels, up from one channel now." When will they do it though? EDIT: There is also a similer story at: http://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/stories/2005/05/16/daily24.html "Comcast Corp. is working to give its Internet customers download speeds of 200 megabits per second, its chairman, president and CEO said Tuesday. "The day is coming when, in 45 seconds, you can download a movie (to a personal computer)," Brian Roberts said. "
4. There are already topics for the Xbox 360 and PS3, so I thought I'd create one for the Nintendo Revolution. Nintendo's big E3 surprise comes in little box "The Revolution will play DVDs, have built-in Wi-Fi and an SD memory card slot, and 512MB of flash memory. Executives said Nintendo would offer a free online gaming service, helping to accelerate the move of console gaming to the Net". "The Revolution will be backward-compatible with games created for the GameCube, and fans will also be able to download games from earlier consoles, the company said." The Reveloution looks best on the outside, IMO. I also like that you will be able to download games from older consoles. Also, there is yet another Game Boy coming out this Fall: "At 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall, with a 2-inch screen, the Game Boy Micro will weigh about 2.8 ounces and play the same games as the Game Boy Advance SP."
5. There's already a topic at https://testmy.net/forum/t-1880.255
6. Not all Torrents are illeagal. I just finnished downloading Knoppix via a torrent. BTW, Knoppix is a version of Linux that runs completely from CD. This is my first time trying it.
7. I downloaded and installed the drivers form the link .s1 posted. The seem to work. I finished downloading the file (694MB total) with no problems.
8. Thanks for the link. I'll try it. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to test it though.
9. My NIC (Netgear FA311) has the defaut drivers that came with Windows installed. Those are the newest available. I doubt it's a ram stick error.
10. I get the exact same codes that are in the MS support link .s1 posted STOP 0x000000d1 (0x00000000,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xF9C8D886) I'm reading that page now.

12. Well, I got it again DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Stop: 0x000000D1 ( [a few more 0x0 codes] ) NDIS.SYS ADDRESS F9131A96 BASE AT F911500
13. Give me a few minutes. It will happen again soon.
14. I think it was something like "IRQL_LESS_OR NOT EQUAL" or something close to that.
15. I tried to download it directly too. Same problem.
16. Yes, Are you sure you did it right. Each name has to be on a seperate line.
17. Not sure exactly were to post this but, how do you pronounce FIOS. I'd say fee-os (as is so backwards).
18. Some state reps. have taken notice of it too.
19. Weren't you the one who told us how to add someone?
20. I'm trying to download Knoppix ~700Mb and I am having a little trouble with it. I'm using Bittorrent to download the files. The download goes fine for about 5 minutes, then I get an BSOD with an NDIS.sys error. I have a feeling it has something to do with my nic, possibly. Thanks in advance.
21. Fiber for 3 Additional Massachusetts Communities BOSTON - Verizon customers in three additional Massachusetts communities now can experience breathtaking high-speed Internet access as the company begins to offer its Verizon FiOSsm (FYE'-ose) Internet Service to homes here. Verizon is rolling out the industry's premier consumer broadband services to customers in Lexington, Natick and Winchester. The company is offering three tiers of service with downstream (download) speeds of up to 5, 15 and 30 Mbps (megabits per second). They keep moving into the "better-off" towns first.
22. Now the only problem is if you have a mod on your buddy list.
23. It makes it harder to tell apart the mods and regular members though. I may get confused sometime and report something to the wrong person.
