  2. I'm just wondering what everyone gets. I will create a seperate poll for upload speeds.
  3. I'm guessing you have the 6Mb/768Kb package? $10 extra a month.
  4. The reason you got that error message while pinging is because you have to put a number after the -n switch e.g.: ping -n 10 192.168.0.1 There are a few options you can use while pinging. To see a list type ping /? I'm glad your problem is fixed now.
  5. You can use Y! Messenger or Y! toolbar to get notified of new mail. I actually use Y! mail for at least 3 of my mail addresses not counting forwared pop mail. I have my regular address, and 4 address I use for my own domain using Personal address.

  7. Your download speed seems perfect since you said it should be 1.5. There's probably not much tweaking you could do. What upload speeds do you get?
  8. Another thing that makes cable better is that speeds don't slow down if you are farther from their office. With DSL to get the best speeds you have to be within a certain number of feet (in thousands or less).
  9. Are you sure there no options to change the speed in the device manager? What brand/model nic do you have? Also make sure that the network cable isn't too close to any motors, power cords or florescent lights.
  10. Meh.... I like the layout in Yahoo! better, except for the ads, that is.
  11. You are very welcome

  13. You don't really need to post the same thing in 2 different topics.

  15. Some people here including me have performed speed test comparisons between FF and IE and most of us don't see much of a difference. As for your connection, wireless usually does glow slower through floors and walls. Yes wired would be faster, at least in transferring files between your own LAN.
  16. My winky wants to wee wee all over aol's servers to finally get rid of that horrible monster.
  17. I'm not sure, but I bet someone else might know. I'm guessing it's possible through some kind of software.
  18. Vanburen (a mod here) has a bunch of topics dedicated to Cablenut. He has custom files for different speeds. This topic should help you get started: http://www.testmy.net/topic-1013
  19. Did you use Dr. TCP or Cablenut like broadband reports suggested? Also try connecting directly to your modem w/out the router and do a speed test Comcast's speeds are 4000Kb/384Kb Running Bittorrent will slow down your speed Also go here: https://testmy.net/topic-2097 for more tweaking info.
  20. Why the hell did we help Bin Landen anyway? We also helped Saddam invade Kuwate in 1991 I think? It seems like we like to start wars just for fun for some stupid reason IMO.
  21. ROFTLOL that was good. I still still say FOX rules though.
  22. Yes. I'll go with what you say since you own the site. I am #217
