  1. First, the reason you are not getting the higher speeds yet is probably because Comcast is still in the process of upgrading. I'd give it a month or so and see how your speeds are then. Second, any ip address will work with any speed. There no special ip addresses assigned for higher speeds.
  2. They had that for a few days, but some people didn't like it. I think it slowed down some people's speeds.

  10. ping 192.168.0.1 is different than ping -n # 192.168.0.1 Where # is the number of times you want to ping the host. Cak46 was telling you to use the -n switch.
  11. Looks like a modem to me. I doubt a nic would have 2 RJ-45 connectors. I could be wrong though The Canada FCC type logo (I forget what it's called) is found on dial-up modems.

  20. Does your router have IP filters? Some routers let you block certain internal (on your LAN) IP addresses from accessing the internet.
  21. I have the standard 4/384 package. I usually get around 4.1MB downloads.
