What are your upload and download capped speeds?

Try another cd. The cd you're trying to use could be bad. I had 3 out of 10 bad cd's in a Sony pack I bought once.

I sucscribed to it for $29.95/year, for 12 issues and 12 cd's. That would about 2.50/mo by my guess.

I used Vanburen's 4Mb/384Kb Cablenut settings (attached below). I'v been getting about 4.0Mb since I installed the tweak. You can download Cablenut at www.cablenut.com

Also M$ takes forever to come out with patches, sometimes 4-6 months. BTW, from what I've read on Yahoo! news they new about the Xbox power cord fire danger for 6 MONTHS! I realize, they have to "ramp up production" of new cords, but they could have had a lot more Xbox owners with fried systems and/or homes (including me) if they waited any longer. I don't know of anyone who regularly posts like that. It seems hard to remember "net speak" and English. I have noticed that AOhell users like to post LiKe ThIs WhIcH Is VeRy AnOyInG. Then there is of course people at other boards, fox.com for example, who put everything in one long sentence and don't use punctuation.

I think they do it through your modem. I have a Motorola SB4220 which can technically go up to 38Mb up 30Mb down. Comcast sets it to 4Mb/384Kb. For cable, it's set through Docsis.

Well, MS does like to smoke the competion. Although yet again, they messed up (read:Windows 95 and up) lol

I'm in the Boston area too (south shore), and all I get is between 3.1Mb- ~3.6Mb. I think they are still trying to fix problems in certian parts of the country. You can keep track of upgrade updatea at http://forums.comcast.net
