I've been reading on broadbandreports.com that some areas are already upgraded. Supposedly they are sending out an e-mail telling you to leave your cable modem AND computer on between xx:xx-xx:xx. I haven't gotter any notice yet. I will post when I do though.

I haven't changed mine in a while. I read through VanBuren's message to fast.

Another recommedation I've heard is to have your virtual/paging memory 1.5 times the amount of ram you have. e.g.:256MB RAM +384MB virtual. If you have 2 HDD's, it's better to put the virtual memory on the faster one.

I've read on a couple of boards that Comcast is going to upgrat the whole country to 4Mb/384Kb. When they finnish that they will supposidly up the $10 extra plan to 5Mb/???Kb

Don't get me wrong though. Besides tech support (and ever climbing TV prices) I still like Comcast.

Trust me it's not just aohell, which I don't even want to be near. Once when I called Comcast, I was going through the automated menus, and I litteraly went in a circle, twice. Who invented "helpful" automated menus anyway?

A good helldesk? That would explain many of those tech support people.
