  1. wow, your lock in periods are close. i have a full 11 months still ahead of me. looks like i'll be left behind.
  2. yeah, too bad we have to put up with that inconsistence.
  3. hmm, i think those colors are only important if you are connecting another plug at the other end. those colors are there just as a label, for example, if pin 1 needs to connect to pin 2 on the other end, those 2pins should have the same color wires.
  4. you mean, your speed was faster when you had no proxy?
  5. looks like everyone is getting good speeds.
  6. i'll be waiting to welcome you to the 400+ club then.
  7. their very nice, although not very easy on the budget. i used to fancy one myself, but settled for a motoming(A1200)
  8. hey, that's fast already. above the advertised speed, and at peak hours to boot. congratulations.
  9. yeah, i figured as much, since the only feature worth noting is the grounded pins.
  10. i think after the lock in period, you can change to another isp already. just make sure you let your old isp know that you are canceling your subscription.
  11. nice, looks like their ready for shipping. i just wonder why the instructions said they had to be 6 inches long, when you are not actually connecting anything to the other end.
  12. now that is legit. great speed grifter . you just had to be 1 :grin:Kbps short of 500, don't you?
  13. welcome to the forum kamote. what do you mean it didn't work? did you restart your computer? please post a speed test result.
  14. great. thanks for that, you're the best. @rino - welcome to the forum. when you say you used the default ip, do you mean 169.254.3.3? have you tried other ip like 169.254.1.2? i use that one to access my canopy. the default gateway is not the ip of the camopy. edit @coolbuster - i found my prefs.js file in a different location. i found it in C:Program FilesMozilla Firefoxdefaultsprofile. i have no Documents and SettingsApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfiles.default. is it a hidden directory?
  15. i know where you got those speeds.
  16. ok, looking forward to it.
  17. @coolbuster this is what im talking bout
  18. @sourness - just follow the posts. yes, you can set it to maximum, you won't get into trouble. for cablenut settings, refer to coolbuster's 20 steps. Open DNS will boost your speed, so will a proxy. @coolbuster - im waiting for your firefox settings dude, can't wait to get a bit more juice out of my connection.
  19. wow, everyone's getting great speeds. wish i could take a speed test, but my torrent dl is not yet finished.
  20. very good speeds.
  21. @dency45 - after tweaking, did you selet "Obtain IP address automatically"? @sourness - i think gourame is currently busy with his work.
  22. yeah, it would be nice if this topic got stickied. if it is stickied, then it will always be shown first on the list of topics in Smart Bro (Wi-fi). that way, when new people look here, they would see the sites that is most helpful first.
  23. oops, looks like i was wrong. i thought he was talking about the connection type in j79lzr
