  1. i think that's your esn number aka mac address. you should keep it, as it provides an alernate way to access your canopy in case it is blocked.
  2. look here www.opendns.com
  3. that is .75 kilometers away. your jitter is good(recommended is 1-4) your RSSI is also good(600+ recommended). our ap is identical, if you didn't mention your location earlier, i would have said we're using the same ap.
  4. it can be seen at the canopy sm. look for "air delay"
  5. definition of rwin, from this site http://www.dslreports.com/faq/tweaks/5._RWIN note that smartbro's plan 999 has advertised speeds of 384Kbps. most members(me included) get way below that, sometimes to the extent that it is comparable to dial up connection. because of that, we turn to tweaking to compensate for smartbro's shortcomings.
  6. my joy is simpler, since im content as long as it doesn't go below 250Kbps.
  7. yes, search for your lan card's manufacturer. @tagasipol, i think they will still work, since other members of this forum use cablenut with vista, only difference is the isp.
  8. you can never have enough speed when it comes to internet connection. @ kartada - i myself don't know what Rwin is, but reading the 20 steps should give you a clue on how to use them.
  9. tweaking has endless possibilities. if your current tweaks don't work for you, try different settings.
  10. tried cfosspeed? it will supposedly speed up your connection, but has a trial period. also, did you try that net stat live? is it good?
  11. oh, ok then.
  12. @babygurl5 - afaik means "as far as i know". i was saying that you already have a "special someone" afaik.
  13. again, glad to be of help. this is a very nice community, although i feel like there was a generation cycle. the people who taught me before are gone, except coolbuster. anyway, click the link on my sig to see my very first post here, i guess you'll be amused.
  14. off topic is that really you in your avie? i think you didn't answer me before. that girl looks familiar to me, looks like a model i've seen before.
  15. you're not making me envious, are you? (hindi ka naman nang-iinggit nyan?)
  16. yes, line of sight is a big factor in stability. having the latest driver will ensure that your hardware will work better, so it is also helps in having a good connection.
  17. remember that smartbro is wifi, which is the main reason for fluctuating speeds.(it is also their main alibi for crappy connection)
  18. i didn't notice your post. if you're having funny thoughts, babygurl5 is already taken afaik.
  19. i think being near multiple stations won't work either, since you connect to only one access point(AP). also, getting a better isp will be cheaper and more effective than relocating.
  20. well, i didn't ask them about the portal, but they did give me my username and password without me asking for it.
  21. it is unlikely to speed it up that way. maybe she was just lucky.
  22. are you taking cached tests again?
