  2. i emailed cs two days ago asking for an upgrade to my canopy to have 7mb throughput aggregate. here's what i told them: can you please upgrade my canopy to have 7Mb throughput aggregate? i have a friend who has it and he has better connection speed than mine. here's their reply We have created Service Request (SR) No. ********* to enable our support group to work further towards improving the quality of your connection. Please be assured that your concern shall be addressed accordingly. In the meantime, we would like to apologize for the fact that we are still unable to meet your expectations. i already have a lot of those sr numbers.

  13. hey, it's been a long time. as usual, my connection is unstable, unlike coolbuster who's getting nice results from his tweaking. i also installed xubuntu as a second os, it's what im using right now. so far so good, good speeds although i can't use cablenut and tcpoptimizer anymore. im still searching for other ways to tweak it.
  14. i finally installed xubuntu in another partition in my hd. thanks for all those who helped me, specially Swimmer, your lynux guides were a lot of help. i think this will be my main os for now, im loving its appearance and interface. looks like all of my hardware came out all right, just a couple of special keys not working.
  15. hmm, just noticed, i made a mistake in my previous post. that's online, not offline. anyway,i have made the great leap. after struggling for 6 hours, i am now using xubuntu, and i think it's doing fine without cablenut and tcpoptimizer. i think i can crank some more speed out of it though. :::..
