  1. I'm sure you've tried different drivers?
  2. I read somewhere that 8800GTs were often able to run 1000MHz on the RAM, but would lose that overclock after a while, leading to instability. Are you running at that speed?
  3. Hrmm, I'm getting 7.2Mbps download from Microsoft, I guess it's a bit more accurate.
  4. I came back from college and usually the first thing I do is check the connection here, and it went up again, yay! The upload is the biggest change, the only one I really care about, which doubled. :::.. 5. I've never heard of any motherboards that require memory to run in dual channel, usually it's optional. Have you tried clearing CMOS before you put the RAM in?
  6. Yeah, I'd just hold off. Save that money for a new build.
  7. Four DIMMs is teh suck. I've had bad DIMMs before, but none that didn't work entirely. Some RAM in certain DIMMs just didn't overclock that well. I highly doubt it would help, but you could try flashing your BIOS.
  8. Do you want to reformat your main HDD, or just delete the contents of a backup HDD?
  9. Your sensor is probably off. Unless you're undervolted/underclocked or have some very nice cooling.
  10. Used to. UPS sucks balls. They shipped a package of mine to Canada, and I live in NY!
  11. If you do get a BSOD, just write down the file that caused it, and Google it + BSOD and you should find someone who had the same problem. Generally it's a driver issue, and if not, the most likely hardware is RAM.
  12. Any particular reason why it's OC'd? And what PSU do you have now?
  13. Just for future reference, it's usually cheaper to wait for a nice deal on an IDE HDD and then just buy an enclosure for it. That way, you don't get stuck with some crappo generic HDD that get used a lot.
  14. The sensor in my DFI nForce4 Infinity SLI motherboard is whack so I don't even use one anymore. I did used to use MBM, though. I had my comp on for 30 days once, with that puppy monitoring.
  15. Are you sure it's 22C? I'd only believe that if it was watercooled or undervolted. Thoroughbred/Palomino CPUs run pretty warm. Leave the side open like you did, and run a fan on it. If that fixes it, it's definitely an overheating problem.
  16. Have you tried newer drivers for your video card?
  17. Well, it's the cheapest dual-core out there, that's for sure. And it overclocks really well, you could probably get it to 3.2+GHz easily on air. AMD'd be better for gaming, by a long shot, but it's definitely a steal.
  18. I have no problems here. I'm just trying to give the forum readers accurate information.
  19. Good call. I thought you knew your stuff?

Maybe they never added it, it's always worth a shot.

    cpu problem

If you flash your bios, it may work fine. Give us a little more information. What's your exact motherboard model? What's your current CPU and new CPU? Exact.
  22. There's little if any difference between the overclockability of an Opteron 144 and 146, you might as well save some money.
  23. You seriously are thick-headed. Running a divider is plenty efficient, it's a fine thing to do. There's no point in not overclocking your processor just because you can't overclock your RAM. That's all I'm saying. Get a clue. Also, learn how to modify your posts instead of double-posting.
